Anyways, do we have a book? Or advice me, how to answer them and not to loose credibility...
Transcript: "Hans, what is the problem? Is same format before (???)? Page number, word number, letter number? Are you sure OK? We are awaiting for your reply"
...
NB: Page => Word (not line) => Letter
P.S. Now I'm confused. Why word ?
It should be row number, not word, because of the edition clarification they sent you (1-4=Hans), but sounded like 'vord' to me too.
Good job kosmo.
We don't have the book and are unlikely to get it. Story should probably be, like fish said, that the book was stolen and that you think the code is compromised. (Since their site in S.America was raided they'll probably buy this.)
Then you have two options. Request a new decoder ring or pick a book off your shelf and make THEM go to the bookstore.
Stills are not from Sword and Dragon. I actually watched (most of) the MST3K version

Speaking of trips to the bookstore, during my unsuccessful trip yesterday, I happened across a book cover that almost made me laugh out loud. Con08 alums will recognize the irony.

Lulz.
Almost laughed out loud? Almost?
I would have all the way laughed out loud. Partly to see how many people give me the WTF look for laughing at the cover of a book about the end of the world XD

If only you would have found that before we would have solved everything early in Con08

New e-mail! I'm finally getting the e-mail! I have 3 e-mails in my Inbox (but I assume they're already been found). What's happened today?
I just got a new e-mail 3 minutes ago, opening it now.
Edit: No subject, no text, just a picture:

Texas A and M definitely does have a copy of Routledge version I just looked it up... and over on the "Movie Guessing Game" thread... it's Nighthawk's turn to post some stills... maybe that will help us with all these pictures.

Looks like it deals with Tibet:
http://ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/title/587438
ETA more here:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0236249/
Quote:
In 1938 Nazi leader Heinrich Himmler sponsored an expedition to Tibet lead by several Nazi SS scientists to study the regions flora and fauna, and to take scientific measurements of the Earths magnetic fields. The expedition was also sent to find traces of the orgins of the "Aryan" race in Tibet which was where Himmler thought evidence of could be found. This film is a Nazi era documentary of that expedition.

Here is a summary of a book about the expedition http://www.johnreilly.info/himcru.htm
Also it appears there was a scene from the film on you tube but has been removed due to "terms of use" violation.
ETA: Well the Aryan/Nazi thing ties into KSW nicely at least.

I also got another e-mail, not sure if it's been decoded yet:

Edit: I'm going to re-send another KSW thing today, and put in my cell phone # (I'll just have to hope the 3 year old phone works if they call). I can't just put in my home phone # because my parents would be suspicious about getting random calls about UFOs :and government conspiracies
