It is not so easy to download the video (it is some Flash stuff). But perhaps these links helps:
High quality: http://www.thelostring.com/_res/trailers/tr03/downloads/TR03_high_en.mov
Medium:

I don't think it's been mentioned here, but
http://thelostring.com is broken today.
Use
http://www.thelostring.com with the www subdomain.
if you don't use the www subdomain, it LOOKS like the site loads, but it doesn't let you select a connection speed, or skip the trailer - therefore it looks like your screen is locked.
Hopefully this is fixed, soon.

Antwerp, Belgium -- 674 -- September 12, 1920
Paris, France -- 674 -- July 27, 1924
Amsterdam, The Netherlands -- 675 -- August 12, 1928
...

Why do you have both two times the Olympiad 674? I think Paris should be 675.

I thought that was weird too. This screencap clearly shows that in Hunt's presentation he has Antwerp and Paris in the 674th Olympiad.

I think it's because of the way Olympiads are calculated. According to Wikipedia an Olympiad starts on the full moon closest to the summer solstice.
The Antwerp Olympics started April 20, 1920 and ended September 12. The full moon closest to the sumer solstice would have been July 1.
The Paris Olympics started May 4, 1924 and ended July 27. The full moon closest to the summer solstice would have been June 17.

So because they were so long both Olympics seem to cross Olympiads, the 1920 games were the 673rd/674th Olympiad and the 1924 games were the 674th/675th Olympiad.

Or because we already know the 1920 Olympics were important this is just another clue to point us at that Olympics.

Ex Libris

Some other things from the trailer that should not go unmentioned:

1. There is a bar rising in the diagram where the break of WWI is.

2. The book that Adriane takes is Bacon's "The Wisdom of the Ancients and the New Atlantis". There is a small paper sign on it, which reads:
"EX LIBRIS E. HUNT 29 XIII 34" --> Could be important

3. In the book is the first paper of the prophecy from Eli's podcat The Secret Artifact

4. The Code could be seen again. but this time a additional line says "Constelations"

(5.) It seems that Ariadne puts the book back into a shelf with the number XI (not XIII like the sign on the book would suggest.

Ex libris E. Hunt = from the library of Eli Hunt. However, Ariadne says in her blog that she snuck into Hunt's office, and was caught there by Hunt, and that's where she showed him her tattoo. I would have thought you would label whose book it was if it was put into a common library (e.g., a library of all the Oddfellows, seeing as his office is in an Oddfellows society house in Cardiff)...maybe it used to be in a common library, but now has it back in his office (his personal library...though I don't know anyone who labels the shelves of their personal library), and the XIII label doesn't match the shelf label because it's not the same library...bah.

Anyway, around the 1:26 point of trailer 3, the spinning globe clearly has "New York, NY, USA" labelled. Why is this particular location labelled, and no other (that I can tell, anyway)?

Also, at one point when the omph is shown (I can't type the whole thing, I keep trying to write oompaloompa), Hunt is shown looking at it in contemplation (or prayer, with the way his hands are held?). Where is this omph he is looking at? Is he in Delphi?

I also wonder what the location is at 1:32, and if the omph Hunt is looking at is supposed to be there, or if that is a different location.

-----

(Edited to add the stuff below rather than double-post, though this is on a new-but-official-site-related topic.)

I considered starting a new topic on this, but here is probably the best place for it, since it's official-site-related, I guess.

On Ariadne's forums, when you're viewing a thread, it says at the top for some threads, for example, "This Question is Possibly Answered:
1 "correct" answer available (4 pts) 1 "helpful" answer available (2 pts)". I've seen no indication of what this actually signifies (one player did ask there about it, but I guess there has been no word of answer because it is an out-of-game question). Do you think the PMs decide when a question/thread has been adequately answered, and which posts are correct/helpful, or does it have to do with people responding, or some sort of automated system, or??? If the PMs are creating these labels, it could be a really good indicator of what posts to consider using as additional food for thought for us and which ones would lead us down a wrong path. (Plus, one of my posts there seems to have been labelled "helpful," so I am happy Smile.)

There's POINTS? Damn. They know how to incentivize gamers.

But do the points actually go to the posters, or are they just a way of indicating progress or something? Points can mean different things (e.g., in a D&D mission that involves Victory Points, how many Points you accumulate can determine whether or not you actually succeed in your mission). Also, I'm not going to get too puffed up about having a couple posts labelled "helpful" when some of the translations have not been...I would think the translations to be some of the most helpful posts of all!

Official site now has "How to Play" link

On the official site, in the area where you select a trailer to view (e.g. where the one where Ariadne confronts Hunt is), at the bottom there is now a "How to Play" button. Oh, and guess what? The screen it brings up has a link to the wiki!!!

Trailer 3 issues

Reviewing trailer 3 there are a few issues...

1. Where she finds the book doesnt look like an office (Eli's) more like a library

2. Why is the chain lock on the OUTSIDE of the door she is peeking out of?

3. The time per the video (if correct?) is 2am when its cleary light out.

4. The book has wording on the back and she cleary sees it. What did it say?

5. Eli watching the seems to accidently run into her as opposed to catching her in there by seeing her on the video.

I've just noticed that the photos and link lines have all been rearranged on the main www.thelostring.com site.

Ariadne is now in the middle of a circle made by the other amnesiacs, connected to Eli beside her, and to Renata off outside the circle...

Mmmmm... symbolism...

Symbolism which lines up with the results of this in-game thread...

That also reminds of the dream Ariadne had:

Quote:

I dream that I notice there are five other pairs of the weird blindfold goggles, scattered in a circle around me. And so I go around the circle picking them up, one at a time.

Now we even know, in which orde she took them:
Diego - Lucie - MeiHui - Larissa - Markus - Noriko (or begining with Diego the other round).

What could also be interesting, is that the other "Ringmasters" (I call the 6 that way) have a connection to two others, e.g. Markus having a connection to Larissa and Noriko, besides Diego and Ariadne.

Ariadne's watching Eli's talk at this point - so she's in the hallway or something and Eli's in the secret lecture room. So it'd make sense that the chain would be on the inside - for keeping people out of your lecture.
