Hey, guys, take a look at the end of this thread, about writing our story-so-far in the form of a story to be posted on the wiki:

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=24828&start=30

It's an idea that looks like it could be fun to put together, and would accomplish both your current missions, of hiding the secrets "in plain sight" and helping people understand the "big story."

Anyone interested? I'd volunteer myself, but I'm not part of team green Sad and don't want to take away your tasks, and I see there are other writers here!

I posted in the other thread a link to a German "Story so far", which I really like. http://www.patmo.de/2008/03/18/find-the-lost-ring-bist-du-dabei.html
Here is a translattion of the first part to give you an impression. i am sure I did not "transfer" the correct style of text, but as an example it should be enough.

Quote:

The legend centers on a ring - a lost ring. Hidden in the early years of the last century - a forgotten secret.

Scholars, Historians, Treasure hunters... It's never been found.

They say the ring has the power to reveal an ancient secret, and protect the earth from powers beyond our imagination. But until we know where it's hidden, we can only speculate about its power.

With those words Eli Hunt tries to call the attention to a discovery he made within the last years. He is talking to a small group of interested auditors, just before he bump into Ariadne. She waited for him in a bibliotheca while looking around. As soon as he arrived she immediately confronted him with the tattoo on here right arm.

It is a sentence consisting out of only four words: "Trovu la ringon perditan". Just the fact that it is written in Esperanto and that it means "Find the lost ring" is mysterious. What does it mean?

That is exactly the reason, why Ariadne left for Cardiff. She wanted to meet Eli Hunt, who seems to know more about the secret of the lost ring and persuade him to share his knowledge with her and the other people having amnesia. Markus, Diego, MeiHui, Noriko and Larissa are all in the same situation as Ariadne. All of them woke up at February 12th in a labyrinth somewhere on the earth, hundreds of miles from their homeland. They do not know how the ended up there. And - even worse - they do not remember anything. All memories and all events of their life before February 12th seem ereased from their memory. They all woke up in sport dresses having this tattoo on their arms. An now they have the opportunity to disclose a part of the secret.

Upon the conversation in the biblioteca Eli Hunt decides to help Ariadne and the others. Several years ago during his investigations in the National Library of Athen he come across an old book. The title of the book is "The Wisdom of the Ancients and New Atlantis" written by Sir France Bacon. Besides interesting text passages the book contains handwritten notes and comments. Following those remarks lead Eli to the discovery of an IP address: 164.109.150.213.

I really enjoy the non-linear story line. Of course we have to ask the original author (I guess it could be PatRol - where are you, when we need you Smile )

AUZ505, Thanks for the link.
