Possibly the Year Zero continuation? After all, the mind-control soda...

Anyone else thinking of Instigationplus? The replies fit that page's strange insanity, especially the badly typed question one.

SHA?

I'm back, I sent an e-mail saying I want to be an operative (simple, but it should work).

What's that encrypted thing someone was talking about?

And just a question for whoever posted that web page source code, how did you get the code? I thought PHP was PREexecution...

I doubt it's a straight-up continuation of Instigationplus, unless this is a fan of that game doing it and not the original PM. If this is the same PM, it might (probably) incorporate elements from that game, but I highly doubt it's a straight-up continuation.

SHA1

SHA1 is output from a PGP signed message. which is used to verify the sender without actually encoding anything. There should have been a PGP sig at the end of Leyton's message which can be used for that purpose. Example:

Quote:
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

This email message has been fed into a routine called a HASH Function
(a function that converts one string of characters into a fixed length string).

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE-----
Version: 6.5.8ckt http://www.ipgpp.com/

iQA/AwUBPwbo8pUx0kMWK6SuEQIzugCeJqCCSXCrKgp32U2dJroO5PJs4mQAn3PI
1TQHsv5kPs+I2+/HWqrVDN0x=u8Vw
-----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Was Instigationplus an old ARG? Because all the YouTube vids on there look like vids from old/current ARGs (Trinstod, have we met before, Tee Hee, 48 hours in Purgatory, etc.)

@Leyton>> I'm getting an error when I try to paste stuff into the (bolded) addy above, but you might try it with original. Don't know what info this will provide, but if it's authentic you should get the name of the sender...

5676 = wand

Sorry for the double post.

Quote:
It was mid-afternoon, the sun out and hot, and the sky a delicate
shade of blue that one would not soon forget. Birds scattered throughout
the skies, flying every which way, and out in the Black Lake, a fish could
be spotted, lazyily gliding through the water.

... etc.

He closed his eyes in frustration, not even hearing the approaching
footsteps, soft on the grass, and when he finally opened his eyes a bit, a
hand held the long ebony stick, which was his wand, out for him to
take.

It's here

Is this trout?

ETA
Sure! but the prob. is the (necessary)PGP sig in Leyton's post.

Nope, not a trout.
I pasted the "HASH" error message in and got this:
Quote:
Error during verification- java.security.Access.Control.Exception: access denied (java.net.Socket.Permission keys1.hush.com resolve)

Have no idea what it means though.

Nice find. I'm starting to wonder if any of these are actually ciphers now, as none of them seem to be straight substitution ciphers. Hell, weqgegf doesn't even have the same number of letters as Hufflepuff.

Summary of substitutions between the original and the received version:

Quote:

Hufflepuff - weqgegf
Chris Matthews - sdfvvv sdfwr
spell - sdfrr
wingardium leviosa - rtihhkk dtrkjgn
wand - 5676 (twice)
