[HUMOR] How will McDonald's involvement play out? So McDonald's is helping to sponsor this ARG. This being my first ARG, I don't know how sponsorship ends up affecting a storyline/etc. I thought between sessions of wracking our brains to solve puzzles we could have a bit of fun.
How do you think McDonald's involvement will play out in this ARG?
I can only imagine a spinoff of their Monopoly game, where we all try to buy lots and lots of soft drinks and French fries to collect tabs so we can make a complete "ring" on our game boards...and bam, we'll have found the lost ring and saved the worlds! w00t!
Or perhaps it will be a roll-up-the-rim type game...instant win sort of deal...the code for the last page of the Lost Ring Codex has been hidden under the rim of one McDonald's soft drink cup! Everyone go buy a million Cokes so we can find the code, get some key information, and save the worlds!
Or perhaps an employee will "accidentally" drop a ring in the bun dough...and someone biting into a Big Mac, find the ring, and save the worlds! Awesome! That's worth chipping a tooth over.

totally true: The frequency that I have eaten at Macdonalds has increased tremendously since the game started - From once every 6 months to once a week. I'm a sucker for good publicity. (sorry, doesn't answer your question, but

Re: [HUMOR] How will McDonald's involvement play out? Food for thought The next logical step in the McDonald's marketing campaign is obvious:

I hate McDonald's The food, the company, etc...One company I hate more is Microsoft.
However if you know me, I own a Mac, an IPod, and other Apple products, but I also own a XBox 360.
As much as I loathe McDonald's, I'm not a fool, I won't boycott a good thing just because of the person(s) who made it

Nice Shad0! I could totally eat a big mac with that pattern! Actually chippy I'm with you, I like McDonalds sometimes despite what everybody knows about it, but I went there in the first week of the game to pay tribute to our sponsors. Nice move McDonalds!

You have just invented the ARGburger, great XD
Look at how good for the environment is this. You don't need tons of paper to make nice boxes full of puzzles and activities for the children's special pack, now they will use the very ARGburger to put the puzzles in

And I think I have now solved the Monica Postcard puzzle. There is a clear connection between London, Madrid, Boston, Toronto, Rio de Janeiro and Copenhagen.
All of them have a McDonald Restaurant.

Whoa! That's it! We must have mixed up the co-ordinates - they must all point to the McDonald's restaurants, not all the train/bus/whatever stations! And, you know, that statue in chapter 4, the Shanghai documents? It looks like Ronald McDonald. Yes, I'm serious. Look again if you don't believe me.
I can't believe we didn't see it before.
