Re: Turtles?

Hey everyone, first post here, but I may have something relevant to point out. Could be considered a really big stretch though.

Has anyone sent anything concerning the Turtles besides the song? Like the names maybe?

Perhaps it has to do with the artists Leonardo, Michelangelo, Rapheal, and Donatello (sorry if I misspelled).

Maybe one of their paintings has something to do with anything?

Or am I just reaching WAY too far?

Just a thought, I just really want to contribute to this fascinating project. Embarassed

Yep, sent an e-mail with all the turtle's names.. plus Casey Jones, Splinter, April, and anyone else I could think of...

Is it really learning?
I would have to be skepticle about that. It seems to only have the ability to manipule the input we give it. Notice how for instance someone had said : This means your happy : Very Happy
he didn't write just the happy face he wrote the explanation for what a happy face is because thats all he had to work with.

He is also able to answer the questions which it already has the answers to. He is able to formulate correct sentances seemingly only from what we send him which would mean this being is not in contact with anything other than us. (Sleeping Princess?)

Now if he is answering our questions is he doing it to the best of his abilities? Maybe he's been censored and some information has been locked away. Another scenario is that this being could be damaged and immobile. Possibly what he's telling us is again all he has to work with.

Now we decide what input we give him it seems. That can definatly be used to our advantage. Send him more things to work with so he can in a sense expand his vocabulary so it can further answer our questions.

Hopefully I was able to constitute some of my ideas as clearly as possible and this being my first post for my first ARG I hope it contributes. Sorry about using "He" and alternating between that and Being, just sloppy writing I guess.

Okay, I thinkwe can safely say that all of the text in the email is from either the text of the site itself or from emails sent to that email.

i also think that we canstart referring to the entity who sent these emails as the Sleeping Princess, since she signs part of the email and derides the Flea.

So, instead of chasing downthe sources or speculating about the name of the author, our task now seems to be translating from bits of allusive text into a coherent message. THAT seems to be the puzzle.

Just a thought, don't send a whole lot of meaningless crap. try to stick to things that might be useful to her.

Maybe it's not about a puzzle. Maybe it's a straight-up communication.

It sounds like the Sleeping Princess is missing Dana, and wants to hear her voice again, wants her to return.

But we know that Dana doesn't intend to come back from China until she's 'forgotten'. Have a look at her blog and you'll see the foreshadowing of her plan to not come back any time soon.

So do we send email to Dana, hoping she'll change her mind, or do we get the Princess in touch with Dana's voice mail, so she knows Dana's not coming back?

Send the Princess Dana's VM number? Did Dana ever make note of connecting through dial up? Or send a copy of the recorded voice mail message?

Emouse, that's a quite interesting thing.. do it... I know Dana isn't checking the vmail, but it's interesting to see what the S.P. makes of that...

Output device

Thesilentstranger, do you mean that The Princess' output device consists only of parsing strings of characters?

That's not a very communicative A.I. Smile
Even so, a very good point.

I don't think "learning" is the right word here. I think the Sleeping Princess is plenty smart already, and knows how to communicate perfectly well. I believe that she wrote (and dreamed) the Widow's Journey, for example. However, the Princess is deliberately limiting herself to phrases snipped from our incoming e-mails because she doesn't want SPDR to "hear her breathing" -- that is, to notice her communications as anything other than so-called ancestor chatter packets.

Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Now what?

Okay, that sounds like a very good explanation. It's using our words to communicate to us so as to stay hidden, and it wants to talk to Dana.

So now my only question is...

now what?

How do we contact Dana and get her to come back?

Wait, could we somehow get in contact with ol' Auntie? Maybe she could convince Dana to come back somehow?

It seems that sleeping princess wants to get into contact with Dana, and for her to come back. The princesss also seems to want to help Dana considering the e-mail, to become her allie if you will. The princess seems to know that Dana is in danger from of Melisssa. We need to find out how we can help Dana and the sleeping princess.

Shad0, that was what I was thinking, but never posted, because I had no backing on it yet, but the more and more I see what's been messaged back to us, I have to feel more and more strongly that the reason we're getting information the way we have, is because SPDR or the Queen (or maybe even the flea) can detect when something is new info, and if the S.P. is using "old" words, then it would make sense that the monitoring presence whomever it is, cannot trace it, or know where it's originating, at least?

Like I said the princess could be damaged and unable to fully use all of her technology.
Or is not able to function properly if not connected to a certain database.
Sure the internet is there but why is the princess not able to use it?
Maybe the answer is she doesn't know how. It is quite prehistoric presumaly compared to anysort of time where they would have such advancements such as Ai's <Cortana>. But then again how can it be recieving emails from hotmail which is an internet mailing service?
Someone possibly taught her how. As for the who what were when and why I can only throw wild speculations into the pot.

Someone started this thread to discuss contacting Dana. I sent her an e-mail this morning, and I'm sure lots of other people did, too. Very Happy

You think it would do us any good to send a .txt version of a dictionary? No shortage of words to use there...

I think the puzzle here is how to contact Dana, and let her know that we have found this altruistic presence that has communicated with us, and that we need to match them together, to accomplish something. Can we all agree on that? It's obvious that is what the author of this letter desires. So, how do we get from A to B here people?
