Sorry, Trout . Discussed in this thread, among others.

E-mails and who might be sending them

I'm a first-time poster to these forums, although I've been active on the Wiki.

To rule out some possibilities re:why people received these letters in certain quantities, I received two copies of the e-mail from ladybee777. I had never posted/been registered here until immediately before composing this post, I had not sent more than one message to ladybee777, and nothing from my note appears to have been included in the response.

Also, I am a little disappointed that just because we received an e-mail entitled "The History of Dana by The Sleeping Princess" everyone has jumped to the conclusion that it was sent by The Sleeping Princess. After all, isn't this a message made up of snippets of text - text that we sent and we didn't write? Wouldn't that mean that we've taught whatever we're communicating with to send things it didn't write itself?

I also got it twice but on two different email-adresses. Even though I only send an email to the ladybee777 mail from one adress. The other mailed Dana though.

She also didn't use anything of my email unless you count the love at the end. Rolling Eyes

Aunt M + Gutenberg + *** END: FULL LICENSE ***

http://www.gutenberg.net/dirs/1/1/0/6/11065/11065-h/11065-h.htm

This site is involved IMHO... "The Project Gutenberg eBook, Aunt Mary's Primer, by Anonymous".

Connections include Aunt Mary... Aunt M anyone?
Gutenberg and the Gutenberg reference in Dana's blog post.
The very last line of the page is "*** END: FULL LICENSE ***"

Now, I haven't gone through the entire website (due to the fact I'm at work); but maybe it'll offer some clues relating to turtles... or mutant ninjas... or something similiar.

I saw this too, earlier (see the second post), but one, it's aunt Margaret, not aunt Mary, although, it is odd that we get so many "keywords" in this thing, and it's on Gutennberg, et al... it's interesting, but I don't think it's monumental (until we get more info)...

well, I think right now the best place to focus attention is the recipes... We all know by now that there's a reason for everything on this site, and the left out recipe 3 is a little glaring.

Still... I've poured over it and can't find any clues. Confused Maybe if we were to make this recipe there'd be a message hidden inside the chicken? Razz

The only thing that sticks out in my mind is that it's an awful lot of chicken for one recipe. Maybe if you were cooking for a big family, but it doesn't say how many it's supposed to serve.

actually, I think it's for one chicken... You double the recipe for 2... It doesn't say 6 chickens it says:

"6 1/2- to 7-pound roasting chickens, rinsed, patted dry"

Mark, from the PoV from the master chief, refers to his armour, which is Mark V.

You know, so far, I think every character is the Master Chief in someone's mind... Except maybe Dana... No, probably her too.

I couldn't resist

Nonono! It's not a message from the Master Chief! It's so obvious now with the third chapter / third recipe ommission.

It's from the new main character of Halo 2, the Master CHEF. This of course makes the initial levels a bit difficult, taking down all those covenant elites with just a butcher knife and silly hat....
