@ Nighthawk - wrong answer... the background pic on ksw's website is 1024 x 750 and it's only 108 KB.. so can anyone else answer this?

Or... maybe i just answered it myself.

Anybody good with stegdetect or jpseek... I tried camoflage, but to no avail with no password

Well, for the picture size/resolution are many things important (especially JPG):
- compression, which was used for the picture
- whether it's 8- or 16-bit
- whether there are 256 colors or some millions
- DPI
etc.

So you can have a picture with 1024 x 750-picture which is 20 KB and on the other hand 100x75-picture with 1 MB.

I pulled the pic up in Photoshop. Doing a "Save for Web & Devices" and setting the output at JPEG High (60 Quality, fairly standard) gives me an image size of 258k, so I'd say it's easily possible for the image to be this size. That's not entirely ruling out stegging a small text file, but it doesn't mean there has to be something in there. If there is something, it's definitely not been done with Camouflage.

So, the key for the letters is the day of the week in English, what is the key for the numbers?

If you were to use http://enigmaco.de/enigma/enigma.html you don't need any numbers for the key, just the 3 letters for the start of the day it was sent.

My apologies, for some reason I had never noticed the option to change the rotors and always used the default I,II, and III. It always worked for anything in the past so I must have just overlooked the option to switch to IV and V.

Well, good luck on this one guys/gals. As I've mentioned in 2 other threads, I gotta take off again, and will only be able to get on every so often. Someone can help Pancito keep up the wiki as he's done such a great job.

So, I cleared my cache, loaded the hidden page, and noticed these entries. Space added after http to prevent the link.

Is there any significance to this? cleardot.gif is a 1x1 pixel, transparent gif, for what it's worth...

That's a standard website design....thing. The invisible 1x1 gif. It makes a nice space or something, I suck at webdsign, so I've never actually used one.

But they're fairly common.
