 		ARG based around a video game (MMO)
Looking to put together a volunteer team of people
Hi guys, I'm interested in getting a group of writers/actors that would be interested in creating an ARG based around a very popular MMO video game. So far we've got noobies to the PM side of things(but we're very dedicated and have a lot of resources available to us!), so I'm looking to bring in some people that are much more experienced in puppet-mastery and also have a love for video games.

What we're looking to do is create an ARG that ties in with an MMO that is already out and has a large subscriber base. We've got the game picked out, have funds to do things like packages/drops/prizes and swag, we have the talent on hand to develop any websites if needed, etc. What we need right now is some ARG experience and some people that would be interested in being involved with the acting, some of the design aspects if you're willing, and help with getting this ARG started up and executed.

We have an idea of what we'd like the story to be, just need some help getting things started and executing the game! This is something that is a bit different from other ARGs we've seen in the past, but it should be a lot of fun Smile

There could be a possibility for a person that shows that they are very talented that they could be compensated with some sort of pay.

quick question: will the package drops be in the real world, in the virtual world, or both? will the swag be virtual items or real items, or both?

I'd volunteer, but the only thing remotely MMO that I play is Myst Online: Uru Live, and it's going dark on April 9th. :(

I think it would be a good idea to do package drops in the real, with packages sent to people for instance. We could also do things within the game on occasion to key players.

Swag would be real items, unless we were able to get participation from the game company in making the ARG...which could happen but is unlikely. We'll see though Smile

As an ardent player of World of Warcraft, and as someone looking foreward to Stargate Worlds, i'm intrigued...

Well yeah kind of..it's something new that my associates and I are trying to do, so this is sort of a test run with a definite possibility to stuff like this again with the same MMO and future MMOs (Stargate Worlds would be a really cool game to do an ARG about...and everyone involved so far is a big Stargate fan Smile )

 		Hey guys! We're still looking for interested parties who could add to the team with their ARG expertise. The head puppetmaster will receive payment for their work(not a full time job but part time) and I'd really like that person to be from the ARG community of experienced individuals.
