So does http://www.ilovebees.com/images/ooogabooga.jpg - it seems Apache isn't configured to return the custom 404 page for the *.jpg extension.

"Where would her "Home" be? A turtle's home is it's shell." hmmmm random thoughts here. What was an AI's air tight shell? A space suit. How that fits in with an advanced data processor stuck on a backward device, I don't know.

The shell.jpg/shell.bmp thing works for any string. You can try asdf.jpg and asdf.bmp. The difference is that the server responds with a status 404 and content-type image/jpeg for any request that ends in .jpg. For .bmp requests it responds with status 200 and content-type html, and in the html is the "404 not found" message with the killer.jpg link.

Have you guys considered that whoever we are communicating with might easily be lying? Maybe he/she/it wants to kill Dana too, or maybe it is really the Operator (although I can't think of why she would only be speaking in clips from our emails...)

Maybe someone should plan a roadtrip to San Fransisco, CA to track down Auntie? Or maybe you could go find Dana in a place with more population than any other country in the world? Laughing

Much earlier someone suggested that the Flea might be a "scribe" of the Princess... How could this be if the Flea is illiterate? Rolling Eyes

Forgive me my randomness

Forgive me my randomness, but I must say that I am having a difficult time finding any sorts of the usual "patterns" that would apply to this genre. If it's a waiting game, it harms nothing to try to find patterns. I admit I'm still new to this, so perhaps my best contribution might be to connect two seemingly random bits of information so that someone smarter might get us a step ahead.

I do my best to avoid the usual "Ha-logic". I do my best to avoid repeating dead ends. What we have been given is all the information we have, and despite the lack of the obvious sorts of puzzles (cryptograms, anagrams, Caesar Encrypts, ROT-13 code, etc) we're still told that there's a secret to be found. If you know how to find that secret ... please, we're all ears!

Also, on the subject of shells... (not that I think that rabbit trail is getting anywhere, but just since you guys are so interested)...

"oh great, this time I can *feel* the pings. Everything, I can feel the traffic, my skin is sliding around, pores opening and closing, feels like empty shell cases rattling in my"

(from the operator's monologue)

They weren't saying the flea was the scribe they were saying the flea is the carrier of information. Which is good b/c it can't read or write.

Maybe the TMNT reference has nothing to do with turtles at all. Maybe it is a clue about s-p-e-l-l-i-n-g things out or arranging letters or something.

The only thought I have to offer is, maybe the words the sleeping princess needs for chapter 3 haven't been sent to Margaret's e-mail. Seems like alot of words have been sent though, so i'm not sure if I'm on the right path yet or not.

the more i think about it, the more i lean towards a hidden page on the ilovebees site. more specifically, one involving the computer text. it seems like there is an awful lot of computer text to not be used for anything. i tried a ton of urls using all those wierd system:, net: and grope: with !surge and !decrypt and !invntry but no luck. still, i think its there, i just think its going to take time to discover the proper combination of words...anyone disprove this or no?

Some random thoughts... I admit to being a noob and accept trouting graciously and humbly, if necessary. However I have been looking on the forums and feel this is trout-less.

The Sleeping Princess is sealed in an airtight container. We're thinking the Operator (Queen?) is infecting a computer... hard drives are sealed and airtight.

We have 3 female characters (Queen, Widow, Sleeping Princess) and one male (Pious Flea). I assume Widow is a female because a male would be a widower. Sleeping Princess, in her story, refers to the Flea as a "he". Don't know if this means anything but I wanted to throw it out there.

I am considering sending an e-mail to ladybee777 containing just the word "twing". The Sleeping Princess says it wants to hear Dana again, and Dana said she likes to make the sound "twing". Again, just thinking it might be a different idea. Also, I wonder if there's any connection between the words AWBREY and TWING?

I tend to buy into the chapter/recipe connection. If we can find out how the chapters relate to the recipes, we can "translate" recipe3 into chapter 3. Not sure where to begin, I looked over the text earlier but got nowhere.

Well, I think one of the main problems here is that we don't know for sure who has control of the ladybee777 hotmail account, and if it is the Flea or the Princess, we still don't know for sure who's side they're on, or if they're on any side... And thus we don't know whether we're really helping this situation or making it worse!

Remember that you can't trust anything or anyone in this game just because he/she/it tells you to. My advice is to use this thing we've assumed is "The Princess" to OUR advantage. Don't try to help it, make it help us... Because we're the only ones that we know for sure at this point are indeed trying to help Dana. And let's be honest, dealing with one psychopatic AI trying to kill her is bad enough without bringing another into the picture...

This "Princess" is benefitting our standing in one way, and that is that she's giving us information. We need to get more information out of her, but we have to be cunning about it. If we could find some way to trick her, or cut a deal where if it answers our question(s) we'll help it find Dana (and of course not actually follow through unless we can be sure it's on our side)... I dunno, this is mostly just speculation, but I think it's our safest bet, strateigically.

Also, we need to try to focus our attention on the things that are most likely to be yet unsolved puzzles. The recipes seems like the highest on that list right now... Just, sitting around and waiting for something new to happen isn't going to do us much good. And especially with that timer ticking away on the website. You do of course realise that it is timing US, right? I'm 99.9% confident that we have to complete some task before that timer is up, or it's game over for Dana, and probably a lot more people too...

And "Phase 1 Complete" is still giving me the creeps.

6 1/2 to 7 lb. chicken... hmmmmmmm

sound files

Ok, so we know the Queen can't open things as text files...
I am assuming that includes all of the sound files as well, forgive me for asking this, but did we check all of the sound files? including the "myth of comatas" one again?
