Anyone have ARG starter questions?
Looking for answers I cant find anywhere on the net

I have a noobish question. How the heck do i put myself in the running to get one of the first trailheads to a new ARG? Do I have to google things and randomly give out my contact info to sites and hope they are ARG's?
I am new to the ARG thing and havent gotten to be a part of any. Just wondering where a good place to start is on the ground floor of an ARG, wheredo i submit my info at?
Or is it mostly that its totally random and just a select few who happened to stumble upon a site and put their contact info into it get the trailheads, and then everyone else gets involved whenn they make forum posts about it?
I would love to be a part of an ARG, and ive already submitted my info to the Harvey Dent ARG, whysoserious, and the new ACME one coming out. Is that the best way to do it? Search for latest news on upcoming ARG's?
Anyway im just a little lost on where to get started, and ive tried to get into the current ARGs but they are already so far in, thats its abit too complicated for me to catch up on.
I have spent a lot of time googling at work (i have a boring desk job) and find nothing to answer such a question. All I find is what an ARG is, what terminology is used, the origins of ARGs and what programs you need to be effective.
But where do you -start-? Lol it seems a simple enough question, and I know unfiction people are super awesome at responding, and giving good feedback. So, I'm ready to listen.
