Yes someone did attempt to get put through to some "random guy" and went through the same process as everyone else....placed on hold and a message was taken to be given to "random guy." I think we should focus on JC and Charles and try to pry more info from them. They actually respond and occasionally provide clues for us.

You know.. it occurs to me.

[SPEC]

Is it concieveable that Tomorrow talk is not in-game? I mean, it seems suspicious and all.. but.. Do we have proof that it IS in game?

We have lots of coincidental SPEC. Domain name registered the same way the in-game sites were. The fact that the urbanmythology.net message came from them. That we've gotten emails back from them. I'd say it's safe to assume they're in-game... but their answering service may not be.

I was speculating earlier that it may be possible that Tomorrow's Talk doesn't exist; in game or out. Maybe it's a cover for something else? Thus the reason we've had very little contact and the receptionists sound very skitterish.

Tommorow's Talk is linked to from Urban Hunt, so it's pretty safe to say that at least the web site is in-game.

ummm... Think about it for a moment. If you go to the Urban hunt website it doesn't have the names to any one who you can possibly reach in order to ask questions, (other then a general inbox) however it does offer a link to Tomorrow's Talk Studios. On the Tomorrow's talk website (Which isn't actually all that spectacular, which kinda tips you off further) there are names and e-mail adresses even a phone number. Personally I'd say that TT Studios is clearly in game and the reason the receptionists have been studdering and acting like they don't know anything, and putting us through to Full voice mail boxes is a stall tactic.

I'd say it's safe to speculate that they're waiting for something big to happen. Something that will crack everything open. After all this game is fairly new and it's safe to say that the creators are just getting into the swing of everything. I wouldn't count TT out just yet... really they're way too suspicious to push aside completely

I dunno, I'd say it's more likely that we simply weren't expected to phone and push TT so much, and that the clue to the next step of the game will lie in other avenues. *shrug* I'm not 'counting them out' as I reckon they will be useful in the future, but I actually think the stuttering might be genuine and out-of-game, if that makes any sense Smile

They are the puppetmasters. If it is the case we aren't doing something we are supposed to do, you can sure of they will let us know and push us in the right matter.
Don't panic puppets Smile

Sent in a Resumé

H'lo all. First post here. I played on The Beast by myself, and behind schedule until I ran into a wall of being too late to receive certain e-mails, but it's keen to be able to get in at the start of new games.

Anyway, as I'm actually a student of both tv/film production and digital graphic design, I tried sending Sandra a (slightly outdated) resumé, as a followup to an e-mail asking about employment opportunities that yielded the form letter that starts off this post.

Just wanted to mention my non-progress in order to hop on the community bandwagon. I was checking through all those page sources, getting caught up on everything, only to read later about clues that have since been removed..

Hey Arben, glad to have you aboard, I think we can use all the help we can get on this game.

If I can make you a suggestion to catch up, check out the Guide on the Wiki that has been made for this game at http://fngeeks.net/urbanwiki/index.php/The_Guide
You'll be with us in no time Wink

So I tried E-mailing Sandra a week ago with this:
Quote:
Hi there,

My name is ------, I work at Rain City Productions and we're gearing up to film a documentary about old hospitals. My boss recallled that your company had worked on a show, I think he called it "dread house"? Anyways, he asked that I contact you in regards to your production team for that show. We had some questions about equipment and sound and were hoping that you could forward the camera men and field directors' information.

Thanks!
---------
Rain City Productions

And while I initially recieved the automail response I got this last night:
Quote:
Dear Mr. ------:

Thank you for your inquiry. Tomorrow's Talk Studios has never produced
anything called "Dread House". This rumor surfaces occasionally and is
most likely spread by a competitor trying to hurt our upcoming shows.

Sincerely,
Sandra Brown
Director of Human Resources
Tomorrow's Talk Studios

After which I responded with an email apologising for my mistake and asking if it would be possible to contact some of the crew for "Urban hunt" blaming it on my "boss" saying "You know how bosses are". My main goal here is to see if maybe we can't enter into a rapport with Ms. Brown. No secret codes of pushing, just seeing if we can't draw another character out at TT, since they can't all be evil Very Happy . Any thoughts or suggestions? I looked through the threads to see if anybody had tried this after Ron came out of his shell but I didn't see anything.

And the follow up...
Quote:

Dear Mr. ------:

I am sorry, but for privacy reasons we are unable to give out any
contact information
regarding our employees. If you would like to give me your messages, I
can forward them to
the appropriate people.

Sincerely,
Sandra Brown
Director of Human Resources
Tomorrow's Talk Studios

Well, what do y'all think? I want to push forward, maybe see if this goes anywhere but I think a particular care needs to be taken in crafting a response. I can come up with enough techno babble to fill a letter(I actually took video production so I know a small amount) but I'm curious as to how this "should" go down.
