So we still technically can't get in to Acme Security?

We can, but they get to us too.

This proves to be very interesting indeed. Very similar to the Bureau of Morality message in the Year Zero ARG. What do they want with us?

there seems to be a lot of people complaining about the phone call over at SHH. Saying "all we got was a phone call"

it wasn't just a phone call. it was a great International Scavenger hunt that lasted all day long! and a new site and a phone call and a new ARG character.

I thought it was great!

Way to go 42. Keep it up.

Now there is the chance that Gordon will get in on the ARG action!

That would be awesome.

Any news on the "impromtu speech" today at City Hall?

They shouldn't bitch. Certainly not those who got bowling balls while those of us without an entire support network looked like chumps coming in too late....

I got trapped , er, recruited. I liked the day's events, wish there had been one closer, but overall it's good.

I replied to you on SHH. I was hoping to help out, but I'm waiting for Verizon to get here to install FIOS TV. They're only 2 hours late already. I can get to westside locations pretty fast, but it just depends on when Verizon shows up.

Yeah, SHH is so busy that my posts get buried almost instantly. My wife is over in SE right now and is within 10 minutes of a number of bowling alleys. I (along with three others) are in Beaverton and can leave at a moment's notice. Another guy is in downtown Portland and one more is in West Linn. PM me your number if you want and I'll let you know if we recover it.

Of course, I'll also be posting here Smile

So did your crew recover it? I wasn't sure, since you hadn't posted yet. If you guys got it, how about sharing some pictures with us. Smile

I am the one who got it in Salt Lake. I called all the bowling alleys during the day and narrowed it down to three that had combination lockers. Then I sent three people to each place. After asking if it is possible to rent the lockers we figured out which bowling alley it was. There were other people hanging around but luckily we were standing next to the right locker when it was revealed.

Here are some pics:

Hey, sorry for waiting so long to post. I had to head back to work and then got swamped.

So... no luck here. It ended up being at Hollywood Bowl, which was about 10 minutes away from my wife. She hauled butt getting there and sprinted through the door, only to find out that it had been recovered by a group of people who were camped out since 9AM!? I have no idea how they determined the correct location, unless they called ahead first.

Oh well. Had the campers not been there, I'd have two Joker phones right now. Guess sharing the love is a good thing Smile

That was supposed to be Lt. Gordon, right? Was it just me or did that not really sound like him? Of course, it could have been someone other than Gary Oldman just portraying Gordon, but if my suspicions are correct, something might be kind of shady here.

I mean, the GCPD is already corrupt, and now we (as conspirators with the Joker) are being blackmailed into working for the PD with threats of "do it or be arrested." Maybe someone's imitating Gordon to make him seem corrupt?

Or maybe I'm reading too much into this.

Also, people don't need to complain, I thought this was an awesome idea. An April Fool's trap set not by the Joker as we'd all have expected, but by the Gotham City Police Department. I didn't realize I was going to get a phone call on acmesecuritysystems, so after I typed all my info in and my phone rang, I was thrilled. By the way, one more bit of conjecture that may be a little too much thought, but maybe the whole thing has been set up by the PD? I mean, how else did they get the number to the Joker phones to send the original text messages?

I think that was 'Gordon' - just not Gary Oldman. That site had a totally different feel to it and all that stuff with 'we now have your IP, name, number etc' felt a lot more like hammering home that we'd walked into a trap. I don't think Joker would have needed to 'trap' anyone like that.

Illegal wiretaps.

They could explain it away any of a hundred ways. Smile Lets enjoy the ride.

Alright folks, finally in. Got the page to load.
Hadn't been reading about what happened, so I nearly crapped myself when Gordon answered Very Happy
Question is, what happens from here? Do we get to choose who to help?
