[RING][MONICA] Stuff from Monica

Got this twit from Monica:
Quote:

He estado en el antiguo despacho de Alfredo. Y hay MUCHAS cosas... ¿por donde empezar a buscar?

Which goolates to:
Quote:

I have been in the former office of Alfredo. And there are MANY things ... Is where to begin to look?

Who's Alfred? Why is she in his office?

ETA:
Thanks Elizabeth!! I had forgotten her granduncles name.

So- what to suggest Monica look for in her uncle's things? Who has a dialog going with her?

What about information on why he knew to go to London, or identified all the other cities on the postcard?

Or whose hand is the left hand on the drawing in the Codex - or if that even matters?

I would suggest to look for something that has to do with one or more of the following places:
Toronto, Madrid, London, Rio de Janeiro, Copenhagen, Boston.

And again: Who is in direct contact with her?

On the forums I suggested looking for stuff that has to do with trains, railroads, and subways [/shotinthedark], and also where Jorge might have gone after London.

Should she be looking for a Western Maryland Railway Company envelope?

She's the one we saw searching around the fountain in Madrid, right? Maybe she sort of shows us what to do. Someone gave her a suggestion that going out to look for something, and then that is how we started finding codex chapters.

I almost think with Monica, that the search itself is what's important. In She did reconnect with her aunt. Even if the plant and the card with the kitten was sort of a ruse to get through the door, it was still an act of kindness. She went through a portal into a the aunt's reality where she didn't really exist before. And listening to the stories sort of synchronizes their two timelines.

translation: I found things in the house of Alfredo!!!!!!! I need a scanner or a camera of photos!!!!

I just came home and Monica had written to me, she has found lots of things! She sent me 6 pics of what se found, I'll upload the pics somewhere so you all can see it in a moment.

It seems the clue she needed was the Maryland Railway Company thing, I suggested her to look for something, maybe an envelope with those words... and she found it! So, just give me some minutes and I'll post the contents... it's quite a discovery!

EDIT: Ok, here are the pics. I uploaded an ALBUM so you all can see it, but I'll post the pics here with my initial deductions about it:

First, there was a postcard, here is the front side:

I'm reading "anabel^" down there... but I'm not sure. Maybe they're greek letters?

back side of the postcard:

Here's a quick translation:
Quote:
When we run the labyrinth in this world, we must know where we are in the other worlds.
My team is here in this world: N 41º 14.172, W080º 48.76824
Rakhee has calculated we are also here: n48º 8,39994, E011º 34.8
and here: N43º37.19994, E001º27.0
and here: N35º40.99986, W000º36
and here: N43º4.452, W089º24.039
and here: S15º46.8, W047º54.6
Our calculations are by now very imprecise, we depend on what Micha sees, when she can run the labyrinth on the fault lines. We are not yet always sure of what we see, nor if we are associating the aligning points correctly

Just an aclaration, fault is referring to geological faults.

Next is a map, I guess it's Philadelphia:

It says "node 16" down there

Now, another map, of North America:

Quote:
One rock, covered by a net, with at least 27 knots.
Our journey to Create the Omphalos

[Spec]Maybe another mission?[/Spec]

The last map, this one seems to be done in some kind of fine, transparent paper... maybe to overlay it on other maps?

There are 3 labyrinths in the left side...

Well, there it goes. The last photo you can see in the album is just a group pic with all the things there, so I'm not putting it here, I guess it's not that important. But you can see the yellow envelope there.
So, I guess the first step is finding where the coordinates go... I'll let you Sofias and such do it, I know how much you like it Wink

*sniff* I really should have joined earlier so I could have contacted the characters. Ah, well.

If you post what she wrote on here, I can give you a translation that will probably make more sense than babelfish's Wink

Edit: What's the URL for Diego's forum/Twitter thing? I'm new, so I'm having a hard time keeping track of everything Razz Sorry.

It also shows a variety of labyrinths, not just the round classical we've been considering so far.

What is that postcard image? Very weird. It looks like a life size ventriloquist dummy and she's lighting his pipe, or what?
