I don't really like that we're split into teams, but it does make things interesting.

If I hold back something it's generally so that I can get a first crack at it. Honestly, a lot of this stuff isn't related to our teams so I don't care about sharing. If it has to do with finding the evidence, that's a team thing. The videos and riddles don't, so I keep it to myself so I can solve it. I've shared something I found that was then solved by someone on my team, but I didn't get points for it nor did my team, only the one person. In the end, we're all individuals.

Puzzles

I am thinking that if we don't know if the puzzle has been solved or not it will be very hard to progress in the game, and also for the enjoyment of the game I like to know how people solved it.

So has anyone solved this new puzzle yet in the new video (Big Shot No More) that just came out?

Well I can't speak for everyone, but I haven't solved it. I worked on it for a little while last night but was distracted by personal drama going on and couldn't concentrate. I feel like I just want to let someone else solve it this time and wait to find out what it was. Ugh, lethargy sucks.

A solve has been sent in for the video puzzle (will put it up later tonight or tommorrow morning - thats Australian time).

As a side note there are a few errors is the transcription posted above by Palm. I have checked this several times and this is the actual cyphertext :

VZBjhZ91LJIbCVEkBpaoLKUyLKMoBZTjgJksfbzjd25ygbEyepXjgJksepfxLFEMLJIwLJ5ygFEce3MbhV4jLHnjCJ8

If I have made an error please let me know.

As to holding back information I think that if you have a confirmed solve it should be posted. Please note that the solve for this puzzle is not yet confirmed - I will post when I have confirmation (assuming someone else hasn't beaten me to it Smile ).

Thanks. I changed my Wiki to reflect that code change.

Staff of the Magi confirmed that the teams don't matter for this little stuff and only for the challenges. They want us to keep posting stuff on their forums and here and helping each other out. We especially need to post solves for new people. I'm glad they posted this, I don't like all of this team secrecy.

I aggree with FQ. In other discussions I (and FQ Smile ) have stated that the recent reduction of communication on the forums saddens both of us.

In that spirit here is the solve for the 'Big Shot No More' puzzle :

The cypher text was (note - it is difficult in the video to tell a '1' from a lowercase 'L') :

VZBjhZ91LJIbCVEkBpaoLKUyLKMoBZTjgJksfbzjd25ygbEyepXjgJksepfxLFEMLJIwLJ5ygFEce3MbhV4jLHnjCJ8
jgJkof2XjgJksepgcLJMoB2I1f2Xjf29wCZ9xCVEwgAQ0OlDj

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
This is ROT -3 (minus three) for the LETTERS ONLY to produce this :

SWYgeW91IGFyZSBhYmxlIHRvIHJlYWQgdGhpcywga25vdyBvbmUgdGhpbmcuICBJIGFtIG5vdCBzb3JyeS4gIEkgZG8
gdGhlc2UgdGhpbmdzIGJlY2F1c2Ugc29tZW9uZSBtdXN0LiAg

This then decodes using base 64 to :

If you are able to read this, know one thing. I am not sorry. I do these things because someone must.

It seems that one letter was either a fake or a moment of weakness by MW Smile. All hail MW!

Edit - oops - almost forgot the spoiler tags Embarassed

Yeah! And Clara said there will be loads of other stuff as well! Alex has still yet to unveil the new department too, so maybe that will come tomorrow as well. The question is...is it worth getting up early for? It is a Saturday and I do love sleeping...

The updated article has been posted. http://www.thedailystalker.com/Articles/alexwynn040508.html .

It seems as though Richard Tomek is/was having an affair and that is why he did not go to London or other meeting place.

Another update is scheduled for tonight on The Daily Stalker:

"4/05/2008 - We will have a larger update later this evening. Stay Tuned!"

Also, new post on The Screaming Kidney's Blog:

http://www.myspace.com/thescreamingkidneys

Which makes me want to ask a question to Faery and Hangman - It says on the blog a puzzle needs to be solved (I took it to mean the Battlefield Video Clocks puzzle). But didn't your team make the puzzle? I am a little confused. Or is that just for the new people to solve - a shortcut to catch up for Team Legacy?

Yeah, the puzzle was made by our team. I don't think the Screaming Kidney's put that up meaning it to be something to move the game forward. I think they're just curious to see if anyone can solve our puzzle, since apparently they can't. I wouldn't think about it too much.

The puzzle on the video was made by a sub-team of the group. Only they and SoTM (and of course, anyone who solves it) know what went into it.

The puzzle is intended as the alternate challenge for anyone wanting to join Team Legacy (as stated by thehost). Those who tackle it will also need to submit a photo similar to what was shown by the various team members during the video - a still photo of you holding a sign saying that you support MW (I think the costumes are optional but don't quote me on that Wink ). Personally, I enjoyed doing my bit even if it didn't turn out as well as I hoped.
Those who want to tackle the puzzle/photo but are unsure where to start should contact Greystone and ask him - he can tell you what you need to know and has the authority to give out official information with regards to this.

P.S. To Team DeVine - your puzzle is a nice little one - I haven't made a dent in it yet (I'm looking to solve it just because I like puzzles). Though I must admit we have far too many other unsolved puzzles keeping me busy in the game at the moment Razz .

Thanks - I was wondering about it. I don't know about the clocks, but I do have the symbols, etc at the end; not all of it.

No math huh? I also tried bibical passages and found nothing that made sense either.

And yeah, I have no idea how the childrens rights ties in. I was thinking maybe a child star would be next on MW's list, but how would Alex know that?
So that's probably wrong.

So i finally got around to posting the solution to this "Whiteboard 2" T= puzzle since we are supposed to post/share according to sofm now. Just updated the Wiki and if you want the answer you can read it there. It does apply to children's rights after all and had nothing to do with math. Solved 4/1/08.

Wow. I never would have had the dedication to research that far. Good job by Paradox. So...now we need the place....very interesting....I bet that has to do with the still to be solved whiteboard...
