Well, foist is an english word. Empetre is French for entangled. Not sure what to make of the last.

I think it may be names of the Protectorate founders?

The french may be right; France is listed as the location of the user of the youtube video.

Sorry for the double post.
The Hitler speech: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNgB-pKbw_0

We do not want to deceive the people, therefore I have refused to step in front just to make promises.

That's the excerpt from the video.

EDIT
New blog from Jack this morning. Apparently there's some technical issues with the OMNIS reader.... which leads me to believe Jessica is possibly dead. John hasn't e-mailed me in days, which has me worried. Any word from the protectorate?

Figured out what the HPEPU image is from. Searching for 'estragon' and 'vladimir' from the login/password to the site leads you here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waiting_for_Godot
Both are main characters in the play. The image is the same as the one used for the book cover.

ETA
HPEPU is ROT-25 for GODOT - d'oh!
Image is here:

You know I think the picture was supposed to be the clue as to the password and username and them being included in the actual page source instead of hidden may have been an accident.

If anyone is familiar with it, this whole thing is slowly reminding more and more of Hal Duncan's two part Book of All Hour's saga, "Ink" and "Vellum".

It must be an anagram of sorts.

But I've tried the other three words in the anagram finder and came up with nothing relevant.
Names, maybe?

Unless they're anagrams... in Latin? "Scindo" is Latin after all.

I've got a couple hours, I'll pick up my copy of Wheelock's and check it out.

Nothing really sticks out at all if we take it as only one possible word, and if I break them down into multiple words, but keep the individual word groupings it turns into too many possible combinations, especially for empetre.

oh hey, look at that, there are more words on the site now
"first, empythree. second, jaypack"

Maybe they are slurred words, "First, Empathy. Second ????"

You know, when you say the first set of words out loud, it sounds like the second set in a New Yorker accent.

Could empythree mean MP3? I think it also could mean Empathy like Kint suggested. Maybe it was a coincidence that soicnd spelled Scindo.

I think Jack should be e-mailed ASAP asking for the data from a few nights ago about the protectorate. I would do it myself but Jack doesn't seem to like nor trust me.

I think it's definetly slurred words and should be assumed to be
First MP3, Second JPEG.

New e-mail from John

I've put off sending this e-mail, because I'm still not sure what I'm saying.

Jessica was a strange child.. she was always claiming horrible things in her sleep, which led to a lot of distress in our house. Horrible things about the Holocaust, which made no sense to us. It terrified us. She would sleepwalk.. sort of, it wasn't like normal sleepwalking.. and stand above us in our sleep, muttering in German, eyes white. She stopped when she was twelve or so. The doctors had no explanation for it, assumed it was some form of mental disorder, loaded her up on drugs.. but when she stopped, we took her off the meds.

She lived a relatively normal life, until all of this..

I don't live with my sister. We're only close because we're both in the business. I wouldn't know if she's received anything odd, though. The police have already looked, but I'll check her apartment tonight after my appointment.

If you reverse the MP3, it's obvious the song is "You Give Me Fever."

ETA
'fraudatio' is latin for 'fraud.' The 'lorem ipsum' passage starts out as the usual latin that is used to fill paragraphs in font demos and mock page layouts and such, but doesn't appear to coincide after the first sentence and words seem incomplete or mashups of more than one word broken up between lines.

OK, on a hunch I took the first letter of each line of the latin:
Lqnlt cqn dau
The "one thing needs to change" bit led me to think it might be ROT. Sure enough, ROT-17 gives:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Check the url

Not immediately sure what to do with that, but it gives us something more to go on.

Yup, totally stumped. Kint and I tried everything we could think of; opening as jpeg, checking for camo, translating the text... The only thing is that
Help I'm Not Tristan spells HINT with the first letter of each word. ARGH I'm seriously lost with this one.
