Many of our players are expressing unhappiness with the delays in our ARG. Emails and information isn't being sent out as quickly as it should be. We understand this and apologize to all of our players. Recently our team has gone through a change in its members are we are struggling to get the game back on track. Know that the PMs are still running the game and are working diligently to provide a game that everyone will enjoy.

Expect updates soon!

 		Actually, I'm pretty interested in the process the PM's are following for running this ARG. They said they were going to document it for their classes, and I wonder if they'll let us (the players) see it when it's all over. It can be a very interesting report for the ARG-world and anyone interested in running one, don't you think?

So I'll guess I'll keep following the game wherever it goes Razz

I was a bit interested in this initially, and then I found the OOG blogs referring to this being a student project and everything being documented. At that point my interest went up a thousandfold.

Part of my reason for playing this game is that I'm hoping for the opportunity to read this report and compare it to my experience playing the game. Very Happy

There is a message in the pic. If you open it in notepad you'll see some binary and a message that it's secret. The binary translates to this....


"Where has everyone been the last month? I haven't heard word about anything anyone is doing. Have you guys given up on this project? I would be disappointed if so. You would think you were a bunch of college students on spring break or something. I need to know that you are still willing to work towards finding out what happened to our beloved Alex. Highway crime is rare.

April 17th is the one month anniversary of the discovery of Alex's body. In memory of that event, I want you to light a candle and wear red on that day. Photos must be sent to me or posted on the facebook group to prove your diligence towards our common goal. Of course the word of Alex's death must move beyond just the people near him. Spread the word and get a friend to join you."

I did a search, and saw that the URL appears 5 times within the hex of the image. Good catch, Big L!

Also, at the end of the binary is a small, additional message:

Edit: Stegdetect gives the image 3 stars. Might be possible that there is even more information embedded in there, though I doubt there will be.

 		The same monkey pic was added to Joseph Capablanca's facebook.

Why hide the message to wear red?

Im going to take the monkey picture and add a red shirt and bow to it.....cuz if they think we should be acting like a bunch of stupid monkeys on dress up day at kindergarten, then that's what they will get. </flunkedsandbox101>
