Well Altavista really mangled that! (Although it's understandable, I guess, and I do like picturing her "giving joy jumps." Smile )

As long as we leave the "need=translation" flag on the wiki pages, like you did Smile

No worries, I'll go clean it up if I can get there before somoeone else beats me Razz That's about all I've been able to do so far.

EDIT: Got it!

Re: Monica, Alfredo and Jorge.
A little later, I arrived at my aunt's house a little later than we had agreed because my (translator's note: unknown word-- presumably someone) had left me with a list of things to look for, and I had to return to my house when I was already at the platform meter. I was very scared because perhaps my aunt would not be quite so forgiving as the last time.
Luckily, it seemed that she was content with me and we reconciled. (So for now, it seems that my aunt is pleased with me this investigation, thanks to you!)
Since I didn't want to bother her much, and she was already very nervous to begin with, I went directly to the corn (note:unsure of meaning of 'grano'). I showed her the photos of he 6 amnesiacs, but he recognized none of them. Later, I was counting your comments to see if anyone had told her anything and to see if they would help me on my searches. She remembered nothing of the labyrinths, nor the Greek things, or what the Esperanto meant, and she'd seen nothing like a diary. Already she/I gave/was giving me for luck(note: this is a literal translation-- it might be a proverb or something) when I mentioned to her:
"And the Western Maryland Railway Company?
"What's that? "
Since I can't read English, I had to show it to her by writing it on paper. While she read with her glasses, I said :
"A train company, or something about trains, is that what it means?"
She thought for awhile and then said...
"Now that you mentioned it, I remember about something written outside. Many years ago, while he was still alive, I used to clean Alfred's office. Since the office recieved lots of papers, once in a while I entered and cleaned up. I remember that once I found a paper with dots on it, but since it was very old, I just threw it away. Then Alfred passed by and saw me doing so. He got very upset and angry. "You threw this away without asking me," he said to me. He took it, smoothed it out, and put it back in its original spot.
My aunt looked at me excitedly.
"If it was so important to him, surely that is the thing you're looking for, my girl!"
I almost had a heart attack. I asked her if she remembered where it was, and she told me yes.
"I saw that it was guarded in that old filing cabinet, and even though I've never gone to get it, I don't think he would have moved it. I never acted as though it was important to me. He worried that he might forget where it was as he grew older."
Suddenly, I began to fear that it might no longer be there. At some point, wouldn't he have had to move the office papers? I opened the filing cabinet and began to look for it.
Then, I saw it. A yellowish paper with "Western Maryland Railway Company" written on it!
I hugged my aunt, jumping for joy. I carefully opened it, since it seemed so ancient, and slowly took out the contents and placed them on the table. Oh my! I can't explain to you with simple words how I felt at that moment. I realized something incredible. That it's real. And that I need you all. Without a doubt, my great-uncle couldn't find out anything because he didn't count on the aid of the whole world....but we do! Thank you for your ideas to look for things, and good job Tenchizard for suggesting to look for things from the Western Maryland Railway Company. You guessed right this time!
So I went to my friend's house to make copies of the old papers, and I've given it to Diego so that we can help understand it better.

/me joy jumps
I got something accomplished Very Happy

This might be meaningless, but:

according to the Wikipedia "Warren, Ohio", the first 'flag cancel' machine was invented and installed in 1899 at the Warren Post Office. Detailed explanations exist here. The postmark seen in the photo from Monica is exactly the same as the first one. Both the post office in 1899 and the one in 1908 are next to the Court House Square, which is fairly close to the coordinates on the postcard.

Thank you so much for your translation! I'll make a summary in Japanese and paste it on Noriko's forum.

I guess one knot=1 chapter=1 artifact location...which somewhat matches the theory a couple of us had a long time ago about the earth becoming an omphalos.

My search fu is weak today. Where was this?

I ask because I was thinking this very thing last night, what with the railroad things that keep popping up and that map and all, and wondering if this particular Earth either is or is supposed to be but never became an omphalos in a much bigger net.
