 		If this thing is 300 ft tall, it can probably take strides of up to 150 ft at a time.

That's columbus circle --> greyshot bride in 4 steps.

Given loud planes, gun fire, Rob, Beth and Hud's screams... it's understandable that you wouldn't hear MGP till it was too late.

How about every quote from Goddard, Reeves, or Abrams talking about the monster as a singular?

And the mental link is purely conjecture. Even if it is so, it seems due to genetic engineering by the cult as opposed to an inherent power of the monster.

Not to mention that a possible telepathic link has no bearing on whether or not the monster is a gosh darn shapeshifter.


I'll stop short of saying that you fail Cloverfield, since I'm a nice guy, but I tend to think that you were the kind of person who kept adding and dividing all of the numbers on the 1-18-08 pictures to prove that the monster was really five robot lions combined in the shape of Cthulhu.


And to your second assertion, let's be fair here, the monster does seem to have the inborn film-villain ability to sneak up on the protagonists, despite the laws of logic and exactly how loud concrete is when it cracks.

So don't put down grey101's opinion.

first off your revolving only around the movie fatman
and in kinshin and the movie it does seem to get larger and smaller in some parts all im stating is it is possible, considering Abram's team coming up with a 'smoke monster' in lost, hard to tell what is possible with MGP

and i never said shapeshifter
and since your judging that im a certain type of guy im guessing your the type that sits around on a computer 24 seven drinking red bulls and eating hot pockets all day huh

No ones "putting you down", it's just the whole quiet thing has been discussed at length sooooo many times, (and it did sneak up on Rob and Beth and Hud at the end of the movie...)


fatman said i 'failed' at cloverfield and im pretty sure i know more about it than him
if thats not putting down than i don't know what is

and you have to consider they were unconsious for at least 30 minutes hard to tell how long he was standing there

and considering they did just get out of a helicopter crash im pretty sure they were physically damaged and wasnt really worrying about their surroundings at the time

 		i thought when first seeing the movie that clover was very human-like and in the mange its seems very much humanoid someone said maybe there was a chimp on on the sat but i dont think that is right because it says in the manga and jj that it was down there for 1000 years so more or less i think we all think the sat just woke it up broke it out whatever...
but why is it so human looking down to the fingernails and fingerprints(on the toy)
dont have any real answers for that but having the boy riding it off at the end just makes me think there is defiantly a lot more to come

Bad Robot's team is genius in more than one way

*sigh* Nobody gets what my SN is referencing, it seems. And Reeves directly states that the monster only appears to change size because of either the scale of the buildings around him or the zoom of the camera.


I didn't say he had no powers, that was another poster, so points off for not studying.

And I have to say, I know at least as much about Cloverfield as you. I've been doing this off and on since Transformers came out.


And for the record, Red Bull tastes like piss. I do have a fondness for the occassional hot pocket.


Now that I've won this very serious internet argument, back to our regularly scheduled paranoia and insane theories...
