 [OT] Cloverfield DVD Party
UPDATE: NOW WITH PICTURES! <3

Oh hai!

I'm planning on having a Cloverfield-themed DVD party at my apartment around the DVD's release date. I really would like you guys here at uF to throw some suggestions out there to make this party a big hit with my college friends/guests.

I already plan on 1.) dressing up as the S.o.L., 2.) making what I call "GrumpySnacks," gingerbread cookies shaped like the Slusho! 7, and 3.) making a yummy crab dip ("on red crab, 6 times").

I have utterly no idea what kind of decorations I should have.

I was also thinking of getting some Japanese rice beer or some sake. Or, even better, inventing an official Cloverfield Drinking Game.
DISCLAIMER: I do NOT condone underage drinking, and probably uF feels the same way. If you are under 21, please don't make any suggestions regarding booze.

Thoughts, darlings?

Even if they are just white styrofoam cups with red marker written on them, thatld be a hit with me.

And what the heck, no invite? Laughing

have a friend video tape it. Then watch him get eaten.

Have a banner that says "I SAW IT, IT'S A LION ALIVE!"

Get your hands on the soundtrack/ Rob's party mix.

************

I wish there was something you could do in honor of the "Marlena bursting" scene.

I should get my camera from my parents' house. The banner idea is a good start.

And I already bought the whole set of tracks from "Rob's Party Mix," a few months ago with the iTunes card I got for Christmas. I'm still saving some of the balance from the card for when "ROAR! (Cloverfield Overture)" FINALLY comes out.

I thought of something to do with Marlena's bursting scene. I could serve those fruit Gushers snacks. Did anybody else like popping those before you ate them as a kid? Very Happy

P.S. And I wish the actor known as the "11 Dollar Guy" was available for parties. He was awesome.

I drank 3 margarita's in about an hour last Wednesday. I still think that there is still some tequila left in my system.

Apart from that I am all for margaritas.

Everytime new guest enter your room, everybody should shout: "Surprise!" (the more guests you have the louder it will be).

3 margaritas? Just 3? Thats nothing! I had 5 Herradura Silver Coins on Sunday night! By 8:00pm I was Drool

Kat: Don't dress as the SOL. Unless you are headless. You should make a huge paper mache (or whatever) SOL head that looks damaged like the one in the movie. Set in the middle of the room.
That is the most iconic image of the movie isn't it?

This was at 4 in the afternoon and I don't drink often. I had a nice buzz for about 25 minutes and then I started feeling sick around 10.
