[SPEC] Feed it?

Mention has been made of quotes from literature etc. being found in emails.

If the queen is in the process of being repaired after damage maybe these are fragments of information that as there, and the quotes are requests for the whole book/peice.

Maybe the spider wants help re-weaving the queens knowledge.

Hmmm?

I had this same idea. Though rather then quotes of literature, i sent a friendly e-mail. Nothing addressing overty any of the themes and concerns of the game. Just, chit chat, I guess, between friends. And, oddly enough, I titled it "Food".

I don't think it's the SPDR wanting the information. The SPDR seems to acting more as reformat, refresh, deleting the memories of the Operator. While it may be replacing these with things obtained from the Internet (and our e-mails) it just doesn't vibe me that way. Why would the SPDR delete important parts of the Operator's memory, just to replace with it potentially superfluous data.

As far as I've seen, most if not all of the requests for more information seems to be coming from the author of the killer.jpg's and the writter of the August 3rd ladybee777 e-mail. The Queen/Operator seems more concerned with hunting Dana down.

So, yeah, I think that's what the Sleeping Princess or the Pious Flea wants. At least whatever entity lies at the heart of ladybee777SPLAThotmail.com

I intend for this Food e-mail to become a somewhat regular thing. Thought I assume the Sleeping Princess has been getting a lot of e-mails, I think it wants it. It can only communicate by stiching together the words and sentences of the e-mails that we send it. (Except for the voodoo stuff, maybe.)

So, yeah, until the medium metastasizes, or we solve some new puzzle, that's probably what I'm gonna do. Talk to ladybee777, see if I can't get a response.

Your idea isn't the same, my idea shows that the quotes are a vieled request for the rest of the book.

Worth a try.

Sorry. Yes, you are right, we have very different ideas of how to proceed. I was merely noting that we both seem to aknowledge some sort of infovorous
tendencies on the part of the e-mail writter. In so noticing, I may've been too enthusiatic in drawing a parallel. Besides, the enduring works of artists is probably more interesting then my drivel any day.

Giving it books to read is always something to try. There are probably a few texts that have fallen into the public domain on the internet, those would be good to start with.

I'd say go for it, just to see the e-mail writter's response.

I like the idea of feeding it. But it seems to me the quotes the sleeping princess used were snippets of full versions people already sent her. We know that someone sent her the lyrics to Turtle Power, and thats how she used that quote(sorry, I dont remember who exactly that was). I think she is trying to show that this is how we are to interact with her, until her vocabular grows larger with what we have sent. I think the biggest course of action other than getting her to contact Dana, is finding some way to get her the words she needs to finish writing chapter 3.

sooner than expected! I got this from www.animelyrics.com.

Come with me in the twilight of a summer night for awhile
Tell me of a story never ever told in the past

Take me back to the land
Where my yearnings were born
The key to open the door is in your hand
Now fly me there

Fanatics find their heaven in never ending storming wind
Auguries of destruction be a lullaby for rebirth

Consolations, be there
In my dreamland to come
The key to open the door is in your hand
Now take me there

I believe in fantasies invisible to me
In the land of misery I'm searchin' for the sign
To the door of mystery and dignity
I'm wandering down, and searchin' down the secret sun

Come with me in the twilight of a summer night for awhile
Tell me of a story never ever told in the past

Take me back to the land
Where my yearnings were born
The key to open the door is in your hand
Now take me there
to the land of twilight
