I just noticed something in the scene where Hud and Beth are taking care of Rob after the helicopter crash. If you look closely, off in the distance near the trees you can see something jump... or fly. There's actually two, and they don't appear to be bombs. The first one seems to land then propel itself back up, and the second is shown coming down in the middle of smoke. The one that propels back up moves similar to the projectiles in the Chuai vid. My initial thought was they were parasites, but they could also be bodies being strewn about by el monstre. I'm really not sure. Thoughts?
Was it the two jets that fly overhead headed toward downtown after passing our heroes and spotting the giant monster behind them that they missed?
(Rob et.al were probably quite deaf from the crash at this point, so it can be excused that they don't hear the footsteps we do )

Haha, I knew someone was gonna ask that. But no, these come a few seconds before the jets. I just reread one of the Neville Page interviews where he said he wanted to make the parasites "thin and vertical and light. Kinda like a flea." And that's exactly what it reminded me of, like a flea jumping to and fro. It's pretty insane if they can jump that high and far.

I pity the fool who doesn't get a Princess Bride reference.
It was made into a feature film in 1987 by Rob Reiner --Wikipedia
You, sir, fail at the internets. The Princess Bride is one of the funniest movies ever made.

How is it then that it falls downward to the ground, then back up again?
And how would it be kicked far enough to land behind the smoke?

Lazy joy riding Parasites finally jumping ship?
Another clue that MGP is approaching at that point, perhaps?

Ive now watched this scene ove and over now and when hud slides by the cam to help pick up rob some grass and dirt flys up. have u ever brushed your hand across the grass only for it to pop back up? Maybe if the quality they filmed at wasnt that good you probibly wouldnt see it. not to mention that the gif you posted is only a fraction of the screen and you dont see the grass....

I've seen the DVD already and all of this thread is confirmed by me.
I wouldn't call it "Military Personal" though.
The extras were very disappointing, though the Monster Creator does have an interesting interview. He mention several times that it's just a "hatch-ling."
Enjoy the DVD, though. There are some fun bits.
