The monster in the dust? Some guy at youtube pointed out that it's possible to see the (or a?) monster in the dust in the scene where the bridge collapses.

(no rick-rolling this time). I checked on the dvd version and it might be something, although I'm not too sure. Anyways, the guy at youtube concludes that this proves there are two monsters - the one in the dust and the one whose tails crushed the bridge. I think, if there is something in the dust, it probably is the same monster.

How many times have we been over this? There is only one monster and the movie's crew confirmed it.

When something massive falls down, there's a lot of kinetic energy being thrown around. Although that looks kind of monster-like, it's probably just a cloud of dust. I am willing to concede that it may be the monster, but I don't think it proves that there are two. The monster we've seen moves pretty damn fast, and it could have smashed jason and made it to the other end of the bridge in about the time we saw in that clip.

If that thing on the top of the bridge is anything its the monster's hand. we all know the monster is huge and its arms are extremely long. it knocked down the bridge while holding on to the top of it. that's just my 2 cents.

It looks as if the helicopter light is playing a trick on you. It is simply going up the bridge and it's an illusion you're seeing.

There's only one monster. Like stated before, it's just the light going up the bridge. Nothing else.

I think its just Clovers hand, and the way the helicopter light jerks upward it looks like its just grabbing the bridge, instead of already holding on to it.

In the bridge sequence it looks like the spotlight is bothering MGP under the bridge and him not liking like it seems would make him swing at the chopper. since the chopper was above the bridge, when MGP;s hand came swinging down from the swipe, he takes out the bridge.

That could have been anything falling over the raising edge, but there is a chance that it could be Clover's hand. Considering that there are a few good seconds between when the tail crashes down on the bridge and when the probable hand is seen it can easily be the same monster as Clover would be standing right beside the bridge anyway. It's not like its tail is super long, the monster would be right there and have plenty of time to assist with the destruction of the bridge (assuming it was intentional). Also, to say it's a second monster makes no sense as the main theory is that Clover is a baby seperated from its parents, so, if both are there at the same time, they are united and nothing else major happens in this scene to seperate them again. Nice catch, though if it is in fact Clover's hand, but there's only one monster.

But the helicopter shines a light RIGHT on something that looks smaller, and then Hud just tips the camera up... WEIRD.

Weird indeed.
It looks almost like a giant spider, with the way it moves. Or a giant parasite? Damn, I don't know. It definitely moves of it's own accord, separate from the falling bridge.

Maybe that is Clover standing up.

I don't think so. We know he's quick, but if we're assuming it's his tail that smashes the bridge, it doesn't really make any sense that he's hopped out and gone over there, standing behind/above the bridge.
But of course, if there's one thing we've learned, anything's possible.
*sigh*
Is there anyone who can give us a real answer about this?

It looks a lot like it's just the light from the helicopter moving up a part of the bridge that didn't collapse. The light moves up quickly and gives the illusion of movement by highlighting something in bright light against the background.

If anyone remember the news report when people were looting the store. They showed the attack on the bridge. The only thing seen of the monster was it's tail.
