[SPEC] The Operator and Guilty Spark?

Correct me if I am wrong but in Halo doesn't Guilty Spark refer to
himself as "the Operator of this installation"?

Is not one of the characters in a online sci-fi mystery game that is
most likely the brain child of Microsoft and Bungie also called
"The Operator"?

You see the point.

But I will s-p-e-l-l it out for you if you like.

I was being sarcastic. The Operator in this ARG was known by other people, other people from the human race. 343GS called himself the operator, not The Operator.

The difference being one is a title, the other is a job.

The Operator in this Arg has stated that it is older than the "typical" 7
years that most A.I.'s live for (according to Bungie lore).

If you read my post "earth vacations for visiting aliens" you will see that
the forerunners (of Bungies lore) have already been on earth so maybe
guilty spark was an operator who also knew humans.
maybe they werent even called humans then.

also, the operator/melissa seems to have two separate personalities.
who says that they were ever one single whole?

The Operator? No, the Monitor.

In fact, 343 Guilty Spark doesn't describe himself as the Operator of installation 4. He calls himself *the Monitor*.

I just went back through that level to verify.
You are right.
I stand corrected.
