Ok, the one thing I have to say, for now, is...his hands are f'ing huge! Seeing them up to his body like that really emphasizes the point. I wish I had his hands...I'd go around waving at everybody (and, I mean EVERYBODY).

MGP's giant hands come from thousands of years of loneliness at the bottom of the ocean.

Let's assume the monster was a baby:

1. Then maybe Tagruato found him and his mother somewhere in the ocean (sonar images). They killed the mother (remember the pics on 1-18-08?) and captured the baby (for some reason). The baby might have been quite small actually.
2. Maybe, the little baby was in the tagruato-tanker that was in NY harbor. There was an eartquake, capsizing the ship. The baby woke up, got in contact with the sea bed nectar, got huge, messed around with the ship, decapitated the statue of liberty and went rampaging in NY.

It would explain two things

1. Why the monster didn't show up 'till had swum all the way trough the relatively small water access to NY.
2. What the earthquake in the beginning was. Maybe it wasn't caused by the monster, maybe it caused the monsteR.

man. i never thought that the whole "Monster in the tanker" idea fit, until this picture of him being able to fold himself up popped up, maybe he slept through all of being captured and what not, got shoved into the tanker, and woke up in their, and bam, uncurled and went nuts. Would also explain why hes so confused about why he is where he is.

On the IGN.com video (that I watched on Cloverfieldclues.com) they say the monster is Thirty (30) stories tall. I don't know how you can roll a thirty story monster up small enough to fit on a tanker. I ain't no mathematician or nothing, but that don't seem possible.

I think the math is where the whole "suspension of disbelief" comes into play. I mean, I'm no zoologist, but I'm pretty sure the Cloverfield monster is a fictional creature.

Not taking overlap in to consideration, that would make the circumference of said ball 30 stories, which would make the diameter of the ball less than 10 stories, which would probably fit. Maybe.

That is also assuming a perfect sphere.

srry but i don't know how tall 30 stories is but the monster is 350 feet tall. and it think it's more around 45-50 stories standing up due to the scene and lvl of beths apartment.

A story is approx. 10 ft. give or take. so 30 stories = 300 ft. Again, give or take a little.

It didn't fall from the goddamn sky.

And the "falling satellite" didn't wake it up.

The drilling woke it up.
