Something Hidden on the Official Cloverfield site? If you go to cloverfieldmovie.com and watch the trailer something happens to the whole web page. It sounds like the end scene where Rob and Beth say they love eachother and then two quick flashes of footage are shown i can't really make it out. Any help?

it's probably just part of the alternate endings on the DVD.

That is awesome. The site definitely didnt do that a month or more ago. I remember checking that page a couple times and last i recall, it played the trailer all the way through without going full page view to show the alternate ending.

They love doing this kind of stuff. I like how the first thing you hear when the alternate ending ends is "SURPRISE!!!"
The flashes are from the alternate ending. You can see the screen caps at http://cloverfieldclues.blogspot.com/2008/04/spike-tvs-exclusive-alternate-ending.html

Interesting enough, when you pause the video, the screen still goes full screen and plays that clip. Then returns to it's mini paused state.

It does this because the whole page is flash. The trailer seems to be a seperate file inside the flash. thats why you can pause the trailer but not the "pop-up" alternate ending

the website is timed to do it after the entire page finishes loading, not based on the trailer clip.

I wonder when J.J. and any of the guys at Bad Robot find the time to sleep. It seems everytime we think there can't be anything new, they mess with our minds!
But that's fine with me! Keep 'em coming!

it's obvious that Rob dies but Beth survives in that ending.
