Leonidas coffee is referencing one of the kings of Sparta who had a wife named Gorgo who had a necklace. So I guess this is who Kronos is looking for.

That would be my guess. One of his original posts on his blog was about his famous family he's from and how they are members of royalty, artists..blah, blah, blah. So yeah, I believe he's looking for Gorgo's necklace.

I would imagine there's something significant about that necklace since both he and Chase's "backers" are interested in it.

My gut feeling is that the necklace is the goal of the game. Figure out who the Right Hands Are, Get the necklace to them and Keep it from the 'Wrong Hands" Just a hunch but it feels right.

There's a new blog comment on Kronos' last entry. All it is, is morse code with the initials L.C.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The code is: ..../ -./--.. . .-. --- which translates to H N Zero

So that gives us TH / AN / 90...

L.C.??

I've been gone since yesterday morning, so I'm still catching up. But yeah, that's what we have so far.

There's also an update to askoracle's myspace blog. It has some binary code that you can barely see:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
01010110 01000111 01001100 01001100 01000011 which translates to vgllc

So I guess that is the name of the company where the money is coming from for the expedition? V.G. LLC (like Venture Group, LLC)? And aren't these folks supposed to be from Texas?

That's the way I took it. Maybe we'll just have to figure out what the VG stands for.

Chance lives near Ft. Worth, Tx, if I remember correctly. The Hope Ranch Foundation is in Missouri.

Edit: Just had another conversation with Fee. Nothing overwhelming, but she did mention that on a whim she tried an anagram finder on "askoracle". I pressed a little to see what she thought was significant, and she said the only thing that stood out to her was "Ask La Core"....which could possibly be the "L.C." that was with the morse code on Kronos' blog comments.

Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to post an excerpt from my last email from Fee (I edited out all the chit chat):

Quote:
I still think that there's something to the name askoracle, but no matter how I look at it, all I see are letters that don't make sense as two real words together. However it's obviously not going to do anything to clear up vgllc at any rate.

Let's hope Bobbie follows through with her plans to go to Tuva, as that
wil help a lot to know what's going on with her and the team. Even if it
doesn't help with the stateside mysteries, maybe it will shed some light
on what real matters.

Thank your associates for me, as any and every bit of help is gratefully
accepted in this matter. I am here on 40 odd acres of land all by myself
every night. Bobbie and Chance always discouraged me and themselves from having dogs because of the campers, although we do have a couple of cats. I guess if anything happens I can throw a cat in their face while i get the snake gun....

Has anyone tried to contact Chance or Bobbie again? I may email Chance soon, and I sent a message to askoracle today trying to get more information from her.

I'm gonna get banzed for all these double posts, but they are so far apart I do it so peeps will see that it's been updated.

Got a response from askoracle today. Here's the message between the two of us:

Quote:
Some people want to change the world to their idea of order, Tony.

They find small and simple people that would better understand money than they would power. VGLLC is one of those.

History has shown us that people that speak of grand changes usually mean destruction and death. 1973 Cuba. 1999 Pakistan. 2001 United States. On and on through history.

VGLLC is always there. They are always moving.

The necklace plays a role. Not money, but might. There is a way to use the necklace that those who seek her do not realize, and those who hide her do.

L.

It seems you know much about this situation. Everything from who's backing the expedition to what everyone's motives are for acquiring the necklace. You must indeed be wise.

My question is, what is so important about this necklace. I understand that it's existence could alter history as we know it, in some manner. I understand that a relic from this time period could be of great value. But my instincts tell me that there is much more to it than that. Why else would Chance's backers be so interested in the necklace itself? They could uncover something of much greater value on this dig, but they mentioned the necklace specifically. Indulge me, please.

You could also give me some more info on those backers of the expedition if you wanted to.... *wink*

~Jacks

I believe askoracle is the L.C. that posted on Kronos' blog and VGLLC are the ones backing the expedition. Now to figure out who VGLLC is in the first place.. Confused

Triple post! Surprised

Got this from Fee last night:

Quote:
Thank you for this email. Just coping with the mystery of why my power at the ranch keeps going out is bad enough for the moment.

Something did occur to me last night, while I was going over some
paperwork and old notes to start on the new camp schedule... Someone named Laura called and left a message for Bobbie OR Chance about a week before Bobbie left for the expedition. All she said in the message was that she needed to speak to them immediately, and that she hoped the trip wasn't going ahead just yet. She sounded rather frantic.

I assumed it was someone that really wanted to be on the Siberia team, yet she didn't leave a number to call her back, and I mentioned it to Bobbie. Bobbie told me not to bother with it, as she was already set to go.

The day Bobbie left for the first leg of the flight, a woman with the same
type of frantic voice called in the evening and asked for Chance or
Bobbie. I said neither was here, and asked if she'd like to leave a
message. She muttered something I didn't catch and hung up.

We get calls all the time, mostly from people that see we have college
grants, so it wasn't that interesting at that moment. But usually they
leave a number and a name, and don't call back sounding like they are
frantic to talk to Bobbie or Chance.

I don't know if this helps or not, but it did stand out in retrospect. I
will also make a mental note to look at some of the bills and records as I
come across them in the planning for this year's camp. Maybe Chance or
Bobbie left something in the files that would help you and your
"associates".

I think the calls were from askoracle, but of course that's just spec on my part. I'm going to shoot out an email to Chance today in order to get some more info.

Keep going. You're getting some good background information (which we need until we have a chance to get caught up).

Reply on mu LJ

Hey I just received a reply to a message I left on Kronos' Livejournal. I left it quite awhile ago I've been mostly lurking here as I find archeology, history and geneology facinating. I wonder what movie it's a promotion for? Anyone know?

Quote:

Hi I'd like to help you find your necklace. Is there any way I can currently help?

Quote:
Their reply was:
Subject: Hello CoffeeGirl18
I see your note now that I am back from the Altai and I may need your help in the future. I have received some disturbing news that the necklace may not be with my ancestor here.

I understood that it was never with my family, that I should find it in a grave and I now hear that it was with my family until 100 years ago, as I said in my ad. I did not want to say that we had never had it, as a journal I found said that, as you say, "great great great" grandfather had saw it in his family. I hope that now I can find who has it.

If you have interest or information, please contact me CoffeeGirl18.

My best wishes,
Kronos
