More interpretations
... on peace and such
So Eli perhaps made the same mistake as I did/do. I have also (mis-)interpreted amaretto01 (monique)'s post. I interpreted the "not separated the world" not only as a spatial but also as a political and social issue. Perhaps amaretto01 itself could clarify, if this was a "neutral comment" or "Pangaea the possibility to have a better world"

But even if it was a neutral comment, I think that amaretto01 brought up a fascinating idea and a possible motivation of Theo and the CAT.
On the other side the history of Europe has shown that different cultures living very near will lead to a long periode of war.
So, to answer some of these questions, yes, I am an advocate of world peace. But, also, I did not intend to slant the question in any way, and I was trying to remain neutral, simply because I am kinda interested to see what Eli's views are on this (so I guess I was trying to prod him for more info, and trying to satisfy my own curiousity at the same time). Razz

On the other hand, thinking in hindsight, no I don't think war or mass destruction should be necessary for world peace. I'm more of the opinion that working together and cooperation in light of whatever situation, will result is something more like Peace.

And on the comment of Europe: yes, it's true it was the cornerstone of both WWI and WWII, so I agree that it has been the site of war and tension. But also look at the present day Europe as well: there is the European Union now. And because of the structure of the EU is set up so that all the nations depend on one another, there will never be any more wars between the EU nations... it would not benefit any of its members.

So... basically my thinking was that if Europe could form the EU, and has ensured Peace between all of its member-states (although linguistically and culturally these nations greatly differ), and all these nations are basically neighbors and very close to one another, that this could be what Pangaea would bring. In the very very distant future. (Again, I'm recognizing that a rapid continental shift would be a very bad thing, resulting in lots of death, which no one wants. But am trying to think decades in the future, in this 'what-if' scenario).

OK, so looking at all the regions and cultures in the world we are very different. But again, looking at the EU model: 27 member-states, and I think about 22 diff languages... who would have thought they would come together cohesively? If we all depend on one other to survive and improve our societies, maybe Peace could happen...

Eli is planting the idea that Theo's group want the elastic reaction neo-pangaea event to occur. Do we just go with that?

"Elastic reaction to neo-Pangaea"
... maybe...

Mei Hui's posted a video on her blog, through youtube, on her theory about Theo. Looks like she's also asking for anyone else with a theory to put their video up on youtube as well! Smile

Anyway, I enlisted the help of some very, very kind (and confused) friends and got a rough translation of the video. Basically, she thinks that Theo is not really our enemy, and he's trying to help us in the way that he knows how, rather than trying to sabotage us. She thinks that he actually wants to see us succeed, and he's really trying to save us from danger and from failure, even though we may not realize it.

Someone may have a more precise translation, and if so, post away! :O

OK, so while we still don't know the motives of Theo, here is one good theory from Mei Hui... that maybe Theo isn't totally against the mission...?

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the idea too, but hey... there is a possibility that if he isn't already working to help us, that maybe he could be persuaded to give up whatever "counter-mission" that we suppose he is doing and join our cause? I wrote to Eli about this too... I have a feeling he doesn't check his e-mail often, maybe only once a week, but again I'll post the response up if I get one.

OK, must get back to working and avoiding this distraction Razz But, yes, I agree that this Pangaea concept is causing more than a bit of a problem to figure out...

Have we heard anything from Eli recently? Any replys to anyone?

Seeing as Eli was the first character to have the finger pointed (even though they all seem fair game at the minute) i'll be curious to see what and when his next correspondance will be.

I am a tad worried about Eli as we have heard nothing from him since making his e-mail and intentions public.

If any of the allies gain the trust of TheO, I hope they will ask around about Eli and please report anything found out.
