 		 [OT] Similar things in life after Cloverfield
Can you find some more?
There're some things that you actually see in Cloverfield that have had news recently.

MOVIE: A B-2 Stealth bomber appears in the movie near the very end of it trying to hit the monster.
THESE DAYS: A B-2 Stealth bomber crashed in a U.S. base (it's a very rare happening, when have you heard about one of these crashing? Or how long ago?)

MOVIE: Something is seen falling from the sky and crashing into the sea also near the very end. It is said it was the Tagruato satellite. Who knows ...
THESE DAYS: The U.S. destroyed a rogue spy satellite but they're not 100% sure yet whether toxic material inside it is still there. Or maybe some part have already fallen in the ocean and they don't know ... or maybe just don't want to reveal it for obvious reasons.

It wasn't a Tagruato satellite that crashed into the water, it was part (and only part) of the Japanese government's ChimpanzIII satellite that crashed. Tagruato sent a satellite up to look for the piece that crashed.

That makes it even closer since the downed sat in real life was also gov't property.

Tagruato didn't send thier satellite up to look for the piece, they sent thier sat up for thier own purposes. They then took the PR opportunity to say 'look what we did' after it had been up for awhile, stating that they helped the government with tracking a piece of thier satellite that fell to Earth.

The story as written (by Tag) is very 'look how good we are' and seems to be covering up a) Why do we have a geostationary tracking sat up in the first place? (To track Clover movements, maybe?) and b) glossing over what fell to Earth wasn't part of the Chimpanzee satellite.

The official story tries to suggest its part of the satellite, but doesn't state it. It's also a Tag propaganda message, so it's suspect at best.

Also, you said they sent the satellite up to search for the piece. The launch was unrelated, unless Tag knew part of the satellite would break off months before it did. The contruction and launch of a Satellite is not a quick thing, and the satellite was already up before the object fell to earth.

Ganu himself made sure it was. (which brings to mind something.. lemme find the apropo place to post it.. since this is the wrong thread for theories)
