Front end web dev position

42 Entertainment is looking for a Front End Web and Flash Developer to join our growing team that focuses on creating Interactive Fiction and Alternate Reality Games. The Front End Developer will be responsible for the successful implementation of graphical user interfaces for project web sites. This role will require excellent practical skills in web development technologies as well as a good understanding of web site user interface design principles and practices.

Responsibilities:
- Transform designers' art into high quality, browser compliant code
- Ensure cross-browser/cross-platform UI compatibility and troubleshoot associated issues
- Create scalable and organized dynamic Flash files using ActionScript 2.0, 3.0
- Work with team to integrate front to backend.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of WebUI coding and Flash authoring experience
- 2+ years of ActionScript 2.0, 3.0
- Technical mastery of client side web user interface development technologies including HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML and AJAX (ability to hand-code a must)
- Familiarity with interfacing to .NET/MS SQL backend
- Flash SWF, FLV, web audio optimization techniques
- Meticulous attention to detail when working with designers on motion graphics, video, and sound assets
- Obsession with high-quality, bug free, on-time deliveries
- Flexibility to work beyond/outside of a standard 9-5
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and debugging skills.
- Experience with full interactive development lifecycle from client interaction to conception to final deployment
- Good written and oral communication skills, and ability to work either independently or in a team-oriented environment
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop especially slicing
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer

Position starts as a contract with possibility of converting to full time permanent
