Hi there, I'm in too. Just got a mail to bleedingheartsSPLATunity.com
the text is quite simple:
Welcome to the experiment

So, I'll introduce myself in the IG forums... you all have seen that "first task", right?

Now someone there is reporting that they saw a full size 768x60 banner on IMDB... I tried to get it to come up for a minute or so (damn University of Phoenix!). Can anyone confirm these as real? 'cause yeah, anyone can sign up on Facebook, but dream on trying to buy IMDB advertising space...

I made a post in the Sanctuary of Ethics asking if there were any additional guidelines, and this was Doc's response:

Quote:
Do not mis-perceive who the subject is. I have you given you a task and a consequence of failure. How you proceed is up to you.

You stand at a cross-roads. She is currently unaware that she is in any danger. Do you search for her to serve a warning, or meet my requirements?

Both are lofty goals.

And with that, I leave you on your own.

"Pitter, Patter, let's get at 'er!"

It should be noted, the quote at the bottom is blue. I'm going to post a thread in the Sanctuary of Ethics to get us organized and to call for a vote on what we should do.

I looked as well to no avail. Everything I've seen looks like google ads or some other knockoff.

Signed up on the forums. Hope that's how you're supposed to do it Razz

I never played 48HiP, but the style of writing from this guy sounds an awful lot like the guy who did the Gate Reaction. But then again, the PM of GR didn't spend much money on his project, so I don't know....

You might want to sign up here also: http://hurtstoheal.com/engage.html

I think most everyone is registered in both places.

Everyone's splitting into factions over how to save her already...

This Doc character. He's good.

I don't think there's any real factioning going on yet. I think the possibility is definitely there that it could happen, but if it is, I have a somewhat reliable means of keeping things together.

I hope I never have to find out what you mean by that.

Also, does anyone know who Conor is? Is he one of us or from somewhere else? In short is he real or a NPC meant to stir the pot?

*Eyebrow raise?*
Flouridating water supplies? Cuz that's the only reasonable way to wrangle a bunch of internetters together that I can think of.

And I don't think we're coming to blows yet. But if all of the Doc's tasks are such a "Choose Your Own Adventure" level of open-ended, then I think we're gonna have rival camps real soon.

*Edit* I don't think Conor is an NPC, fish. He's switched his allegiances (so to speak) from gung-ho rescue-type to "doc's gonna catch her" mission sheep once already. I would think that the PM would keep consistency in a character

All of us want to save her, yes? So pointing out that factioning divides our power, and makes us less effective, followed by pointing the finger of blame for her death at all of the idiotic factioning might press the proper emotional buttons to keep those with even a little human conscience in line.

Has anyone else thought it odd that the two people who have seen an ad for this "experiment" elsewhere have chosen the same little symbol on their intro thread?

I'm sure I'm overreaching, but.....npc's perhaps?

That's just the symbol denoting the thread has an attachment. Made the same mistake myself.

I know what an NPC is, but I've forgotten what the letters stand for. Anyone care to re-enlighten me?
