^^lol
I know some people that haven't even heard of it, but typically here on campus everyone either seen it or took bad advice from someone who has and didn't see it themselves. I can't wait for my copy to come in the mail. If there was a Best Buy near campus I would have it already.

Most of my friends have seen it because I told them about it. Everyone else I ask hasn't though, and I highly doubt the DVD will change that.

I think it was because the actual trailer debuted in front of Beowulf. I still don't know anyone who has seen that.

My case is pretty much the same as cysubtor's. Here on my own campus (go SMU! ), pretty much everyone I mention the movie to has either seen or is going to see it (even if they only promise to see it after I threaten to kill their dog/cat/grandmother if they don't).
For the people who I know won't make a conscious effort to see it, I invite then to my house under false pretenses and then proceed to give them a private screening. Seriously. For instance, I did that to a friend of mine the last time I was home...and, now that I'll be home for the summer, I'll have plenty of time to lure in throngs of the unsuspecting.

The trailer shown in front of that was shown with I Am Legend as well, don't know about anyone else. But yea, beowulf was a bad choice to premiere the trailer because A, it looked dumb and B, everyone saw it in 3-D, IMAX, w/e.

As long as there are
"(insert genre gere) movie"s
being made, nobody will hear about Cloverfield.
Like...ever.

Only two of my co-workers at work had seen the film. The rest of them suck. Cloverfield is hands down the best film ever made. I mean that. Since I was kid I was waiting for a film made through a vhs camcorder that would capture the awesomeness of an alien invasion and portray it as real. This way kicks my dream in the but, and it was tight!
Cloverfield rocks!
Don't change the perspective, keep it in handycam mode! I wanna see San Francisco get trashed through someone's handycam. I wanna find out that it was really Clover that struck New Orleans. I want to see the big lunk land in Africa and have spears thrown at it. I wanna see some more amateur footage of Cloverfield tearing G.W. Bush in half! Finally, I want to see Chuck Norris kick it's ass!

Only intrest people like us i guess either A. They didn't like the idea of having to do all this research and fun stuff we did or B. They just thought if it as a big headache and say "nope, not seeing it" :\

Everyone hears "shakey cam" and runs screaming because of Blair Witch. People seriously need to get over Blair Witch. This is seriously a good movie. Blair Witch almost destroyed the handycam scene.
BTW, BLAIR WITCH 2 shoulda been shakey cam too.

I thought Blair Witch was OK. Blair Witch 2 was kind of like a porn movie without the sex.

Lol, the friday Cloverfield came out, my teacher asks some people at lunch if they were seeing 27 Dresses.
Actually, at my school quite a lot of guys (and girls) have seen Cloverfield. Even a lot of the teachers have.
