A friend asked me to help him do this today, as he's on vacation in Puerto Rico. Here's what I sent him:

Quote:
Essentially, it consisted of opening the website, seeing the suspects,
making a quick mental calculation to get the code for their package
(mine would be 12CSJEHF, total letters in name, plus an add one to
each letter of the last name) and then dial like it's free tickets to
a concert from a radio station.

Over. And Over.

All circuits are busy now.

Trunk busy signal.

"Thank you for calling the concierge at the Gotham Intercontinental,
no one can answer your call at this time..."

Trunk busy *click, click click redial*

Trunk busy *click, click click redial*

Refresh page

Trunk busy *click, click click redial*

Trunk busy *click, click click redial*

Refresh page

All circuits are busy.

All gone.

FRAK!

Overall, I was disappointed I couldn't score some schwag for some friends. At least the message that I got (the once or twice I made it through...) was kinda neat and in character. That counts for something, right?

Anybody else notice that they took off the Date of Birth from the mugshot data? Looks like they Accidentally left the 6/22 dates there. Man, get me a job like that... Rolling Eyes

Man, I go out to lunch and everything finishes up. Damn.

So, here's what we have.

There were 30 packages sent out, all of which are slated to arrive at 8:00AM tomorrow morning. No word on if that is relative to the timezone of the recipient, or if it is specific to a timezone (say, EST). For now I would assume local time.

Each package will have information relative to the target it was "originally intended for". The recipient will have to sift through it and garner certain information to be posted on the GPDMCU website.

As far as we know at least 7 shh members have gotten through. You only got a package shipped to you if you actually got through to a live person, so sorry to any of you who left a message in the hopes that you would get a package.

So, everyone start monitoring the site first thing tomorrow morning, I know I'll be monitoring it as well as the shh forums and here for pertinent information.

Good luck!

Just something to think about for future reference. Why were all thes fugitives at the same hotel? Are they working for one person? And what do the packages contain?

At least early on I would get the recording every so often.

Yeah, me too - I called and called and got messages that either the lines were busy or that I should call back later. I got my e-mail and started calling immediately Sad

Each one has a different year of birth, but they all have the same birthday? Hmm not sure if this is anything or not.

shh or SHH! are the superhero hype forums. A lot of ARG'ers for the dark knight are using this site to communicate with other people. check out superherohype.com and forums.superherohype.com

 I Got a Package
TDK, Viral

Got the package via FedEx this morning. Cell phone and charger (already charge, 8 hrs. prepaid talk time), $25k bearer bonds (Wayne Industries), itinerary under an assumed name, letter from Candelo, Finnish dictionary. Put the info into the GCPD site. My suspect's picture changed to "Moving to Apprehend".

that's cool, Batfan! Any chance you can upload a picture? I'm particularly interested in seeing what the bonds look like.
