New Message from the DOC:

Quote:
Well, I have watched and made the influences I've seen fit. It is all you now.
Our friend and I have an appointment, and I doubt you can break it.

The next time we talk, things will be a lot more real.

Have a lovely, untroubled weekend, all.

Doc.

So he doubts we can stop him from taking her, which means that it MAY be Possible. The Numbers that we are to recruit 50/day is very unlikely. I feel as though we are being set up for failure no matter what we do and how a group of strangers deals with causing the death of an Innocent may be the point of this experiment.

Well, it never hurts to try?

In this case it hurts to heal, so who knows Razz

Let's just see what the Doc throws at us, and let's see if we can't accomplish it.

Although the premise of the ARG is a good one, I do not like being forced to do the PM's dirty work and do aggressive recruiting for him and his "experiment".

He's asking for upwards of 400-500 people to sign up on his forum in little time. That's ludicrous, to be honest, and should not be a requirement for execution of the game. Yeah, if the game is cool I might ask people to come in, but I should not be forced to bring people in blindly when the game hasn't technically started yet.

If he wants users so badly, he should do it his own damn self like the rest of us.

Sorry guys, I'm still in on this game... I just don't feel comfortable with the initial methods. Yes, recruit all you want, but it should not be a requirement and there should not be a penalty if it doesn't meet his personal expectations.

i am in full agreement, honestly i'm very interested in this but when it comes to recruiting people no one i know is interested in this kind of thing so i may just lurk for this one...as always lol

What he's throwing at us is this recruitment task, and short of alerting the news media, I see no real way to accomplish it. The problem with alerting the news media is that it will attract law enforcement attention, which I can only assume a guy running a study like this does not actually want. So it's proving difficult to adapt to what he's throwing at us.

Nitefoll--if you have the time will you tell me what you used to desteg the "yourwayisnotworkingxx.jpg"? JPHide is not doing a thing for me at present. Thanks. Also, feeling fairly in agreement with Nighthawk. Wink

I'm curious as well. It is definitely Camouflage looking at the hex code. From the hex it also looks to me like there isn't a password, but I know that doesn't work in Camo.

Well, instead of working this morning like I should be doing I have been sending out emails to interested parties. Doing my part to help beef up the numbers. I feel very "glass half full" today so I just want to say that it I really honestly think this task isn't that hard and that we could all totally pull it off.

If you believe in yourself, magic happens... Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

All anyone can do is make a good faith effort. Whatever actions the Doc takes are his/hers alone, and that's where the responsibility should fall IMO.

Exactly.

Another alternative could be to locate the doctor and stop them by alerting the authorities or similar.

If we had any IG cops this is the route I'd be taking. I mean if I found something like this in RL the first thing I'd do would be to call the police. They can get warrants, trace CC payments, etc.

Maybe we could get the PI from Final State... Very Happy

I must have had something wrong with my Camo install - reinstalled it and now the image Uncamouflages with no password as expected.
