Ah, too bad.
Though it's cool to think that music I've (sort of) made was played in somebody's car, at full-blast, and they aren't my friends who feel obligated to do so!
ya man, between that song, the weather, and my coffee it was a pretty good drive to work. actually, the real orchestral song didn't even resonate with me too much till i listened to yours. it's almost good as an interpretive listen, cause i could imagine this grand metal composition happening. We should coax some real band into takin this on, get Opeth to give it a shot. haha.

I thought you were responding to me saying I'd like to hear Opeth cover the Overture. A very laughable idea, but a fun one.

Very well, except for some note correctness problems.

Listened to both samples: Here's my two cents:
on sample two, up into :44 seconds, i think I'm listening to somebody rock out for the Addams Family.
Beyond that, sounds really good.
The drums are off. Maybe you should monster footsteps in it's place or something heavier or more in the background.
And because it's a rock version of ROAR, instead of the female ROAR voice that sings "ALALALALALA!!!!" maybe it should be a guy's voice, I imagine a viking singing it in a rock version.
Throw in some thunder lightning sounds too and some of the parasite crackels. Maybe even a few movie quotes and start it off with the flaming hobbo HUD quote before the song.
Of course, feel free disregard all of the above as I'm not the one putting in all the hard work into this song. Hope it keeps progressing.

There you go Chrizzy, they got you covered.
no jokes, designers at Graffeetee are keen on design, style and music... they are currently making music t-shirt for real that plays your favorite tunes on a regular good design shirt without wiring and washable. they'll be sending it to production soon.. and it should be available summer '08. pretty cool..........
they accept music/design submission at http://graffeetee.wordpress.com/2008/05/14/singing-t-shirt-on-sale-no-joke/
or see http://blog.graffeetee.com
