We have...succeeded?

Uh...okay...

I hope he doesn't mean TOO much time to breathe...I'm ready to have other tasks besides recruitment.

IRC is Internet Relay Chat

Is is like a chat room. Google IRC, and you can find chat programs, one of the popular ones is MIRC, but I use ChatZilla for Firefox.

I knew it, he was trying for factions the whole time. Blegh.

He was trying to see if we'd faction off. This task was probably not about the recruitment, or at least not wholly about it. Maybe it was more about giving us options and then watching us fragment over them?

...That was actually sort of clever.

Not clever, lucky. If he was clever he could have done something better, besides, we completed what he gave us, recruited a huge amount, (his quota was ridiculous)And found out where the girl lived. And probably him too. Those darn Canadians.

There's a rule against PMs posting in the thread for their game at uF. Breach of that rule, historically, instantly kills your game as most players lose interest right away. I doubt the Doctor would be stupid enough to do that.

Having said that, please refrain from making a flamebait statement like that, okay? You want to PM him stuff like that, go for it, but saying something like that in the public thread is pretty much asking for a flamewar.

EDIT: This is in reference to the comment about Clown.

It seems kind of odd that he expected people to totally split off to two different factions... Why wouldn't people try to do all that they can and help out on both sides? The options weren't really opposites such that you had to pick one side OR the other side, with two equally viable choices. Anyway. Here's to "very interesting, very soon."

Doll? Thats cute.Clown will jump on the flaming bandwagon as soon as he possibly can.Doesn't matter though, i have him on every ignore list possible.Doc seems like the kind of PM who would do stupid things like use these forums. He doesn't exactly seem to be the brightest crayon in the box.

Yup.
I said my part. Now I'm going to try to help this girl.

Conor-- an IRC is an Internet Relay Client. Sort of like a chat room. (Actually, I think it is one pretty much Razz)

Got some photos of the girl from the video. The best one is probably this, which does, admittedly, look like an oil painting, but w/e.

I call nearly everyone some form of endearment. Get over it.

I wasn't going to make this public, but someone else just pointed out the connection and the implication.

This is a collection of private messages between the Doc and I.

Exercising hacking skills are we?

At first I thought this was simply a comment about my apparent expertise in the genre, based on the post I made on the site.

Now I see the true meaning of it: he's implying that *I* sent the messages that he claims to not have written.

Anyway, my response:

Well, whatever it takes. What, didn't factor that variable in to your "experiment"?

Come now, with such a gathering of diverse individuals, you should be ready for a little adversity. Or are you not taking this seriously enough... do you think this is a game all of a sudden?

You thought you would have it easy? You think you can just gather a couple of hundred lemmings and lead them off a cliff? No, no, no, dear doctor. We're not going to make it *that* easy.

I saw your handiwork and your "mad skillz" on the home page. You clean up after yourself nicely, but it shows that you are prone to mistakes. God, I get under your skin a tiny bit and you begin to screw up... this might be easier than I thought...

Mistakes. No sir.

The last part is curious. Several of us saw the links implying a relation to 48HIP. Others saw the main page redirect to 42 Entertainment. The Doc himself now states that these seemingly accidental redirects were, in fact, INTENTIONAL.

He's toying with us, but he's toying with us through the curtain. He's bringing the real world in to the equation. He's playing with us, and not just by telling a story.

I happen to know representatives of 48HIP and 42 Entertainment personally; I have notified them about what's going on here. Maybe I won't get a response; maybe I will. But if they aren't involved, someone's going to have hell to pay by bringing in two respectable companies like 48 and 42E into this clusterfuck.
