The Pastry Wars thread is here. I'd love to see me some monkey cake.

Now, I must admit, the light side seems to be gaining quite a bit of ground. I must do something to increase our numbers on the darkside. I wonder if I can coerce some of you do-gooders to jump ship. It's a lot more fun over here. Plus, if you choose dark side, there is the matter of the little teaser site only accessible by our side. (Oops, did I say that out loud?) Guess you'll have to join us to find out.

Light Side, I am requesting that we serious consider sending a mole over to the Dark Side. Any volunteers?

Very Happy How now, natas? Are you sure you want us over there now?

Besides, I've been hearing rumors that if we don't get 1,000,000 players playing before Nighthawk's yak gives birth, he's just going to kill the Pastry Wars thread before the ARG really gets going. We should be focusing our efforts on recruiting more people, not in-fighting and flame wars.

Why jelloarm, whatever do you mean? I don't know of ANY games where that sort of thing is going on. Very Happy

Ah, finally something I like the look of... dark side for me! LGL was my only full journey, considering everything has a habit of dying recently.

(See, how dark side can you get? Smile )

Really I'm not worried how many lightsiders there are, at the end of the day we can cheat, whereas they can't due to their silly morals...

So Jelloarm, there's your dilemma, if you do evil in the name of good, does it make it good? When does an act of evil balance out if it's for the greater good? Do we need to quantify how good or evil the acts and their outcomes are?

...or to respond in my normal more enlightened fashion: Do that and I'd sing Liar Liar Pants on Fire at you!

But my defense to your moral trap is that the planting of a mole isn't, per se, immoral. Perhaps against certain rules, but rules and morality do not go hand in hand, as such great moral leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Gandhi would defend me on. So the planting of a mole in order to do good can, in fact, be moral.

Doing it solely in order to taunt Natas rather than any sort of advancement of the cause of good... Well, then things begin to get a little stickier.

Ah indeed, but we're not talking rules, which of course are made to be broken. A mole, per se, would have to lie, and so condemn their soul to a thousand purgatories...

Only if one decides that lying is immoral. It isn't on the 7 deadly sins.
