No problem - just uploaded them and updated the trip report. Most of what I wrote in there I just copied/pasted from my post in this thread, but the pics are up:

Concerning the document you found on the first trip, you are right. 75 year old documents just don't turn up like that.

Did you email the main guy at the CMH site? I'm sure maybe he would be interested about it.

Also, maybe the architect has some importance? If the reason Dread House went wrong was due to 'paranormal' events, and the architect pushed the site to be build there, it could lead somewhere...

Well, I didn't specifically email him about it, but I did contact him after I went, and offered my pictures for his use. You can find that email here:

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5025

He has posted some of my pics on his site, and one of the pics is the cover of the document, so clearly he knows about it.

Well, I googled his name, and he's definitely a legit architect - you can find several pages referencing the work he's done here in the Twin Cities area. I think that's good SPEC, but right now, I'm not sure we have much more to go on than that. As someone mentioned earlier, it's very possible the construction workers had been using that document to research their current job...

True. That also means some poor construction guys are looking for their source material thanks to you! Shocked

I should have posted this email from Charles earlier but since it produced no new clues and dealt with a subject that no one seemed interested in anymore I thought I wouldn't clog the board with it. Now I think that even negative results on a small point are probably good to post if for no other reason than to prevent other people from duplicating my negative results. Does that make sense? It sounds puffy to me Smile

I asked Charles about the Gravestone. He did not take the picture and he doubts it still exists on the grounds. No new info about what the gravestone says.

Dear Lynn:

No need to apologize, that gravestone picture seems to have generated quite a bit of interest of late. I did not take the picture myself and I am sorry I don't have much more information to share with you about it. I am pretty certain that it is a picture from one of the old graveyards at Cambridge but, like almost everything else, the headstone itself is probably long gone.

Charles

What I sent:

Dear Charles,

I've been looking at the pictures on your site and I am very intrigued by the photo of the gravestone. Did you take the photograph? I can't quite make out what it says but it appears to be in German? Was this gravestone found on the hospital grounds? Is it still on the hospital grounds?

Sorry for asking so many questions but I love old cemetaries and headstones and this one looks very very old. I would appreciate hearing any information you can give me about the headstone.
Thank you,
Lynn

Charles is a very nice gentleman. I hope this fits here. This seems to be one of two main threads for communication with Charles.[/b]
