For my take I think Toby has been a little renegade overall - with the deleted blog, and now this. I don't think there's anymore here than closing off things we should maybe have spotted - I don't think there's anything that will help with the Alice story.

My summary:
Alice
Has Temperance
and has the clue that the Path of Love is probably the highest scoring path in Mirrorland.

The March Hare needs:
Help from outside
His Queen
The true names of the two brothers

But, what do we need to do? This isn't clear. However given The March hare has moved to a new site it seems we have no way of communicating, so I think we need to get Alice to talk to him, somehow give him Temperance, and tell him how the Path scores are changed in the mirror world.

Do we also need to tell him the name of his Queen? Or suggest the true names of the brothers? I almost think we don't, as has been pointed out he should know the name of his Queen, and he knows who the two brothers are. However it's always better to be safe than sorry, so I think we should pass this on too.

P.S. Why is it brothers now? I thought one was male one female?

It's always been brothers as far as I can remember alisdair, the only time a female was mentioned in relation to doom was when MA first met him and doom was pretending to be The World by being a figure of indiscriminate sex.

Ok, my analysis is that I'm not sure there is anything for us to do at the moment, perhaps finding new sites if any kloos present themselves (such as the 308 in the map for the last story...grates on me that I can't work out what it means)

As far as I can tell from looking at MA's cards, even with temperance he's going to need another card in order to get any path at all, let alone a low one (which we now know are really high).

here's my wishful thinking of how things are going to go down...

Alice will go into the mirror to give MA temperance, which will remind him of hattie somehow (it was hatties card so I'm assuming it's a characteristic of hers, or perhaps like the name LIttle John it's her exact opposite )

Thinking of hattie in the right way will take him to her in the mirror world.

Doom will appear somehow, possibly with his brother, and try to block MA, possibly trying to hurt hattie

On seeing Hattie threatened, MA will realise he loves her, this will give him *wait for it * the Strength he needs to carry on, and the card strength will appear to him, giving him "the path of love", doom wont realise this, and will think he's winning. he'll ask for a showdown, both players will reveal their hands...MA wins!

epilogue:they all leave the mirror, the mirror folk destroy the brothers, MA and hattie get married, alice finishes her amazing new novel, jacques and bella get engaged etc. etc. etc. and they all live happily ever after

enormously unlikely but this is the ending I'm holding our for...

The only thing I can think of that might be important about getting a new clue to something we missed is that we eventually have to combine and use all the different numbers in some way - like a telephone number.

For instance, will we be shown the pages of the faded telephone directory of story 6 at some point, and then have to piece together the right number to phone or the right extension number to contact?

The new comments on Slice both say that following the hare is a way to find Slice.

So how do those three names help us?

And, what about the character names? What's to see in those if we look more closely?

Quick entry, between coming home & getting dinner. I got "The People's Music from the library (I was just going to look at it, but wanted to read more of the essays so borrowed it.) Pg. 210 onwards is (as I think we guessed?) the essay about Nick Drake,called "Exiled from Heaven:The Unheard message of Nick Drake"
I'm not quite sure how Lewis Carroll, Anne Frank and Nick Drake connect to Slice, Ray,Lynn,Claribella-Pussywillow, Betty,Joey,Mary Jane and Jacomo though...

Wukka, I found a comment on Slice's blog leading me straight to the morehare page. The Chase Proper could be promising, I'll have to read it later, the orginal page the link from Slice's blog has since lost all the clues, so i guess you've re-found them.

@ IngyW, I think most of the names refer to Nick Drake lyrics, as veebee pointed out on the previous page...some are possibly velvet underground lyrics too as Cabbage said. I'm not sure this isn't just Toby being a bit annoyed that we didn't see his clever kloo trail :/
