[META] Lack of activity

What happened? there is not much activity in the officials forums...
Is just a "calendar" issue? Is the game, players, the pms getting bored?

Some time ago, i heard something about two stages in this game. A first one, something like a test to see how the players organize the information, and the second one, the super massive ARG...

What do you think?

Unfortunately the weekends are the days where I have the most time. Are args only for people who do not have to work in real life Wink

I believe that part of the problem is that the "login" and "register" links are tiny and hidden, and the "post a reply" link doesn't even show up if you're not logged in. So when I first saw the in-game forums, I was at a loss of how to start interacting and I concluded that it was a forum for interaction between characters... fortunately I found this forum or I wouldn't even have stayed around. I believe that a lot of non-English players never stay around for this reason, too.

Vital links like that should be unmissable, I'd probably make them as large as the thing that says "Actions" and put them down there in the main area too.

Have you considered sending that to Ariadne (OOG) and letting them know? The login/password thing when you first go tot he page is a pain in the butt too.. I agree that the forums could be a bit more userfriendly.

We are due for an omphalos and/or new artifact today.

I've been refreshing the omphaputer....
(and checking BLOIS and PAREPARE ... usually the first sign of a omphaputer update is that the previous weeks artifacts are marked as RECOVERED)

Also be on the lookout for Ariadne tweets, blog entries or forum posts... they tend to be clustered around the same time as omphaputer updates.

Well if you're all bored, i've got a question : How can i type the "/" character in the omphaputer on a French keyboard.

As you can guess being unable to use this character is REALLY unwelcome in the omphaputer...

Why can't i type it in, could you ask ? Well because the omphaputer only takes lowercase characters and then transform them in uppercase, so if you push the "." button on your QWERTY keyboard, you'll get a "." in the omphaputer. If you push SHIFT+".", you'll still get a "." (instead of a ">")

But the "/" character on an AZERTY keyboard is SHIFT+":", so you can't enter "/" in the omphaputer, only ":"

Any idea ?

That is hard! How about using an on-screen keyboard?
