Or is MAKE OMPH KNOT connecting (knotting together) the omphaloi and knot points of the various universes to our own? Each world is an omphalos, and the swirling and expanding could represent the merging of these universes.

Wow, this is a strange synchronicity. Last night in IRC I was thinking of a topic to email to Eli, since we still don't know exactly what he's up to, and I thought I might write about symbolic religious stones.

I have a stone called a siva lingam, which has markings that represent both duality and harmony, breath and blood, male and female, man and god, and so on. Supposedly the stone is of meteorite origin. I've seen a lot of comparisons of these things to the Delphic omphalos so I thought it might stir Eli's academic interest. Now it looks like it'll also work for the task laid out in this Codex page.

If you want more info, this is a good site, and this is another.

This ancient Greek inventor of the labyrinth, Dedalo or Daedalus was kind of a shady character. http://homepage.mac.com/cparada/GML/Daedalus.html

Thank you for your translation, Chid. According to this dictionary,
reto = net
(The program I use translates "ret-kovrita" into "net-covered")
interligi = connect, join
(In the PDF the word appears not "interigxigu" but "interligigxu")

Ah yes of course...the kind shop keeper insisted I took the map so I just hung the note where it was. Just a folded up piece of paper with the word "Theo" on the front.

Isnt this map pretty much the same as the one found at Monicas Aunts house ? Was this just a clue for us to be able to find which map the Codex was behind in the shop?

And don' forget the one map Monica found in her uncles documents.

"One journey to Create the Omphalos"
"One rock, covered by a net, with at least 27 knots"
