There's no hate here, only fun.

So here's my point: I've been here for less than two weeks, and whenever someone new comes on board and posts something, simply because they didn't use the search function, they get lamblasted for their responses. Personally, this hasn't happened to me. I've seen it happen to others-- others that truly enjoy the movie Cloverfield and simply want to share their thoughts. The elitist ego-maniacs that say they've been here since August simply seem to destroy the fun experience for new people who come to this forum to share their fascinations and thoughts about Cloverfield. So, you tell me, who's the real haters here?

Like I said, people here in uF seem to be losing their minds. I haven't pulled the Fail trigger in a week, and I don't want to start pulling it yet.

I wouldn't put that on the whole of uF, I've really only noticed it in the Cloverfield area, and I'm attributing it to no-update-in-awhile disease

But yea, people seriously need to chill a little

Ok, about all this in-game/real life timeline crap...

How about this: He only said the date was May 23 in the ALTERNATE ending which DIDN'T make it into the movie. So to me, it's not part of the movie and therefore not part of the game. So when they say December, they mean December, not April.

Edit: Also, Paramount would not have used blogger for MissingTeddyHanssen's blog. When in all of the ARG before the Alyse blog was Alyse even mentioned? As far as we know he's an only child. I think you're being quick to believe it's in-game because you really want an update, but in all honestly, Bad Robot and Paramount wouldn't have used blogger for the blog because it would cause too much confusion about whether it's in game or not...as it's doing now.

Did you go to the TIDOWAVE site?
What do you mean?

I understand you and everything, but that has absolutely nothing to do with why I made fun of BranJ's post. He just decided to make a decision for the whole forum, and I thought it was fuckin' hilarious; as if he had some power that was preordained by the God's above to make decisions for the whole forum.. it was more so the way he said it than anything that I thought was hilarious.

Nothing new since the 22nd. Many posts runing up to the 22nd, but nada since. With no sequel written and nobody working on one at this time, there can be no budget for promotion for anything after the first film and dvd campaign.. so, unless someone is paying out of their pockets to continue this game, I suspect the current episode of Cloverfiled the ARG is now over..

I am sorry if no one agrees with me, but if MoC isnt a way to show us which sites are IG or OOG than what is the purpose of it??? Think about it, its on 1-18-08, Tagruato, Slusho, and Tidowave, why would Tagruato put a Tidowave logo on there site and vice versa. The only thing each IG site has in common is their involvement with Teddy Hannsen and you are telling me the site named MissingTeddyHannsen.blog.com cant have MoC on it...OOG ill scream it 1million times to the night skys. So i believe that MoC is a IG indicator.

I dont know if this has been posted in here or not yet, so trout me if it has, but make sure you hear me out before you do, damnit lol. On missingteddyhanssen.blogspot, there is an anonymous comment made to one of Alyse' posts, talking about "find the missing video file. All your prayers will be answered, now please stop.". With that, it automatically sends us all on a search for a missing video that nobody has seen yet, which apparently answers a whole shitload of stuff regarding teddy hanssen and where the hell he is. I just went back to the site today and checked it out for any new posts, and this came up:

I'm sorry but I have no other way to contact you so it has to be this way because I found the missing gx file, but you didn't give me a user name or password!

So, still, i dont know what this really means. Obviously, there is a missing video file. Yes Alyse has found it, but she cant access it because there is a login attached to it. Now what i CANT figure out is, WHERE THE HELL IS THIS VIDEO?! Could it be on the dvd? i mean, the other video files that are on the dvd have tags on them, like Gx, Vd, Vx (or something to that effect), which tells me that the most probable place to look for this missing file would be on the dvd itself. Has anybody taken the dvd and put it in their pc yet? Try putting it in your dvd drive, and instead of letting it open, go to my computer, and explore the dvds contents. Maybe its hidden in the files on the dvd itself? Like i said, trout me if ya gotta, but i really am interested in this. I highly doubt that this website is OOG, mainly because all the new shit popping up is surrounding Teddy mainly. So if someone could check this out, and reply as soon as someone finds some type of new info, i for one would be really grateful...

Interesting that many assume that someone would have to pay out of pocket to continue this when a predetermined period of time could have been specified under contract sometime last year (or earlier).

From experience, I can state that I have been paid for a year's work at the beginning of the year to maintain a person or company's website for...one year.

It could even be longer but I think you see what I saying with this. Rolling Eyes

I'm surprised how you included the word 'video' in your 'paraphrase'.

Here's the trout, by the way:

Dude, you've been here for 18 days. Dealing with tards is something that you are just now doing. Stop acting so high and mighty.
We've been dealing with them for 8-9 months now, it's old. Use the search button and you don't get flamed...is that really so hard? It's people like myke that were making the voltron and jensen statements; we have PLENTY of reason to flame them.

No excuses for outright flaming. Insulting people, threatening them, any such abusive behavior is a violation of the ToS. Persist, and the ToS shall be applied. Simply put:

Play Nice.

Note that the post immediately preceding the attempt at excusing flaming is retina demonstrating exactly how we should be correcting the erratic or repetitive posting by new members. It's called a trout.
I want to give special honors to retina for practicing the much rarer subspecies of meta-trout (where the reference to the information already covered is within the same thread).

I'm so flattered. Embarassed

I also just now realized that the trout was in the same thread. Laughing
