I believe the reason for using a code was that we have no way to contact Theo directly, so we had to do it via a post that anyone could see -- including Ariadne and the others against whom we are supposedly plotting -- which meant that we had to hide the message to Theo. If we have Thermantia's email address, we don't need a code, because no one else will see the message so it doesn't need to be hidden.

I'm just thinking Thermantia might need a nudge to know that the person e-mailing her wants to contact/ join TheO. and sending a message such as we have sent so far hasn't convinced her to even reply. If the: "Hi, I got your address from MeiHui and I really hope we can help her and your name is so interesting what does it mean and write me back pleazkthanxbye" etc. has the coded message already in there: "Hey, Theo, these agonothetai people are nuts is there any way of stopping them? write me at sekto@secretaddress" it might warrant a reply from this mystery person. . . and if she isn't connected to TheO it would go unnoticed, wouldn't it?

*laugh* except that with a phrase that long to encrypt you would need a paragraph with 80+ words in it so that we had adequate spaces... either smaller message or embed a tinyURL which points to a public webpage which has a longer message on it...

keep in mind, if you tinyurl it, baconating it will lose all your numbers and punctuation..
a sample tinyurl http://tinyurl.com/cg9mq
might need to be encoded
TINYURLCOMCGNINEMQ
or TINYURLDOTCOMCGNINEMQ

I think I could figure it out with that.

 		If she's sleeping well, she is probably moving further out of sync with her other selves. Synchronization brings them those visions and memories that they interpret as dreams.

Plus I encouraged her to walk a personal labyrinth to see if she has visions of her parallel self, or of other worlds in general. I'd really like to see what the other five have experienced, and maybe if they can recover memories of their home worlds.

Also, if she's mentioning people's names in emails, it gives me hope that Thermantia is actually a player who wanted to use a game-relevant handle, and not an Agent of Evil. Even so, I've emailed my friends in NY to see if they could hang out with her. She said she'll try to be there in the second week of May.


First off, it's really good to hear you've been trying to help MeiHui out and that you've been keeping close tabs on her. Secondly, I have a little bit of extra info too...

OK, I went ahead and left a comment on her only English blog, but I thought I should post the other comment before mine on it. Here goes:

"Mei-Hui, your English is excellent. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts even with those of your visitors who don't understand Mandarin. Going to New York might be a good idea because you are likely to meet some friends and allies there - but please take care of yourself!"

OK, so I tried to make small talk, and then get a normal response... until the line "did you try personal labytrinth yet?"
Huh?
I thought that was only for the 6 labyrinth runners? Question *scratches head*

Anyways let me know what you think... The only thing I get from all the above is that 1) she responds promptly and 2) she actually does value our imput Smile

Other than that I'm confused...

I think the codex tells us that everyone can synchronize the multiverse a little bit at a time with personal labyrinths. (chapter 19)

And the 6 should be able to recover memories with personal labyrinths because they will synchronize with selves who didn't get amnesia- but that's got to be a painful experience because it will make them miss home even more. For the six who wrote the codex, it strengthened their resolve. But along the way, it must cause them some doubts.

Too bad she lost sleep over it- but I'm glad it worked like it should.

 		The IDGA will host a meeting there in NYC on May 14th, is this great timing or what? Very Happy Maybe she'll arrive there before the date and the ARGer who will go there in advance for the event can meet her?
