I think everybody did, really.
Jeez, that's wild. GREAT job, everybody.

OK, that lost me somewhere. I'll have to think about that solution more later.
Nice job Night!

I can't take all the credit... Nice work everyone.
I still don't get the PM's hint; the errors had nothing to do with the solve.

OK, I'm feeling extra dense today.
Somebody want to explain it using small words, or even better filling in the letters on the original image?

It may help to look at the Wikipedia entry on Transposition ciphers and its example with ZEBRAS: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transposition_cipher
The trapezoid ended up being rotated 45 degrees so it filled in the diagonal of a 10-row, 10-column grid. Our keyword was DISTORTION, with the two letter I's specified as columns 2 and 3 respectively.
So we arranged the letters of DISTORTION into alphabetical order and then arranged the columns of our grid into the same order.
Reading down each column, starting from the last column, got us to the "WEANDY THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT" etc etc message, and from there we leaped to important.html as the next page.[/url]

OK, think I've got it now. I was looking at Night's trapezoid as the initial fill and not the transposed. Thanks!

The wording on the hint was "and THEN we might need to dig a little deeper in the errors", suggesting that the errors will come into play later on perhaps?
Good solve guys. Unfortunately I'm ho help at the moment - I was squinting REALLY hard when the wind changed direction, and now I'm stuck like this. I've spent all day bumping into things, and people keep asking me if I'm constipated.
I'm going to have to take a holiday to recover. If anyone needs me, I'll be in the Isle of Wight until Wednesday. Ciaou!

I've asked one of the moderators to put the [SOLVED] tag into the subject line of the first post. I can't believe that I only remember we were supposed to do this AFTER natas, who started this thread, left for a month.
Oy.
