you know somethin, I'm not gonna lie, I could actually see little kids going goo goo gah gah over that big guy in plush toy form.

The only thing I don't like is why they changed its roar from the very first trailer to now. The roar is completely different.

Edit: I just realized what that picture of Clover reminds me of and possibly why girls find him "cute".

So he's a jackass because he resized an image? If you think people who resize images are jackasses, you obviously don't get out much.

EDIT: I might be confused, so if this post looks like I have no clue what I'm talking about, sorry.

He's a moderator. He moderates, which includes resizing images for the benefit of human eyes.

How is that being pissy? It's not like he went, "stawp resizing imgz or next time, you b banned."

but that's stupid to moderate the size of pictures! They're just images! It doesn't matter what it's size is, it's just an image. Monitoring the size of an attached image=gay. *sound of gavel* case closed.

I believe you've been already called on this once...

Well, whatever you end up using to host the image remember to only thumbnail it or otherwise constrain it to 640 pixels wide or less. This can be done using HTML code, although thumbnailing is preferable.

I fail to see the point in that.

You fail to see that the forum is meant to render each table in a certain size basically, and that horizontal scrollbars are annoying?
The basic standard of the web is really only just getting to 1024x768. The whole of the forum is meant to fit in that width, and basically anything more than 640 pixels wide distorts the forum past it's normal rendering width.
If you don't understand using HTML to constrain the size, that's offered for those that refuse to use a thumbnail with a link or attach an image (which does those steps for you). If you don't do any of those options, I'm just going to end up doing it for you a few times - but I won't spend all my time fixing a dogpile of images. I'll just start converting them to links, which as you probably know a great many won't bother with.

Since when do the courts take cases of utter stupidity?

Again, he is a moderator. Moderator's are here to moderate. Resizing the image so that it does not stretch the forum is, guess what? Moderating. He's not running around in tights, he's not blowing people's heads up, he's resizing an image. Because that's what he does. It's not like he's taking away your picture leaving a little banner saying "Didn't Like Your Image - Deal With It".

Why you have such a big problem with it, I'll never know.

Hey, allow me to point something out to you. Just because you don't care that a forum is filled with huge images doesn't mean nobody else cares. Many of us kinda like not filling the entire screen with images...why?

A few reasons.
One, a practical reason. Not all of us have broadband connections. Some of us still have dial-up, where a page filled with images loads slow as heck. Most forums don't moderate this, so it's always nice to find one that does because it means one is actually able to, you know, read the forum?

Two, another practical reason. Big images can stretch things waaay out, spreading out lines of text too, meaning repeated scrolling left to right and back. This is annoying. It's nicer to be able to read things without flipping back and forth. This is the same reason books aren't written split up so that you have to flip pages back and forth every line. Sure it doesn't take much muscle movement, but it's annoying as heck.

Three, an aesthetic reason. It makes the forum page all broken-like. It looks nice now, it doesn't with huge images blotting it up. (For another example see: reasons why Unforums doesn't allow huge signature images).

Four, one more practical reason. With some images (perhaps not that one specifically), it is extremely hard to understand what you are seeing when you can't see the whole thing at once. Heck, even at the size it's at, I have to scroll up and down to see the full image. Which brings me to point Five

Five, hey, a practical reason! Some of us have small monitors, non widescreen, with low resolution. Big pictures suck even harder on small monitors as instead of seeing, say, 1/4 of the image, we're seeing something like 1/16 of the image.

Shall I continue?

But yeah, its kind of a mixed reaction to Kill Clover or Don't Kill Clover, but, in the end, we know he survives anyway, and I'm sure hes going to be pissed off more than anything. So watch out San Fran!

Oh My God. He's going after the gayest city in the US.

MGP will be sipping on martini's.

Why would you feel sorry for something who is killing everyone?

I felt some sympathy for the creature due to its separation anxiety, but judging that the military was unable to even mildly damage the creature, it can easily be overlooked. The real emotional connection in the movie is the killing of Jason, Marlena, Hud, etc. Although they were all major characters, they perished quickly and simply, unlike the fates other movies often grant their stars.

It adds to the realism of the movie of how these people died quickly and without warning with almost no foreshadowing. Realistically, anyone could die at anytime, and Cloverfield emphasizes on this tremendously, which gives it this unique atmosphere.

very realistic, becos that's how death occurs. there's no huge build-up, no fuss, just one second and you're dead. i couldn't imagine losing my brother and best friends and having to trudge along. but when you coul dbe next, that's how you have to handle it.

loved that aspect of the movie.

i felt a little sorry for clover. he didn't know what he was doing or what was happening, or why. yeah, he killed some people, yeah he ate some people.... but he didn't even know what people were. it was like snacks. like bear grylls eating a grub or something.
