Spec: The kind of trouble Dale is really in

This is the first bit of information from the email interaction forum that I've found interesting:

"I'm thinking though, that maybe, with some of the things that have recently come to light around here, maybe Dale stumbled upon some records or something linking people around here with this organized crime investigation going on.

I'd be really surprised, honestly, if the Mayor was involved in anything 'cause he has a hard time keeping anything straight. "

The above is from an email sent by Sam Green(e). I've read spec in chat that people think perhaps that the Mayor is being manipulated by the mob. If Dale discovered this somehow, then he could be in some very real danger despite having his wish answered. I'd be curious to find out if Dale really did find out something and about whom. And when did he have the chance?
