Do you think Doc is making a comment about "Grandma" ? Maybe he blames Bex for some of the things that has happened in her family? Maybe he is a member of the family himself? Just a thought.

This, and
"Both of BEX's parents passed away in a house fire nearly a decade ago. Faulty wiring, apparently. Some folks thought maybe mommy had had enough realism, though, and torched daddy in his sleep."

From the first destegged image and the title of the current movie, there is a lot of references to the possibility of BEX dying in a fire caused by electrical wiring.

Putting these together... that's a lot of deja vu.

This is supposedly some sort of twisted psych experiment for "The Doc". He is trying to see how we react, and his behavior may not appear logical because he is looking for responses to unusual stimuli. I'd examine everything he says with that in mind

I don't think "Doc" picked Bex randomly. I think he picked Bex for a reason. I think he is using the experiment as a way to teach her a lesson and to see how people will act or react to what he says needs to be done. Idea I also think that if Bex dies he won't have to take responsibility either because it would be our fault not "his" becuz we failed his experiment.

Now that you put it that way, that makes this feel a bit like Saw, except with less bloody tasks. Hopefully.

I know it's supposed to be about our response to his stimuli, but like ponie said she was chosen for a reason. hearing the bitterness in his last post I'd definitely say he is close to her in some matter, either family member, or a stalker like admirer.

Jesus, I can't believe I missed all this! Figures, the night I decide it's safe to hang out with a friend is the night something goes down. Laughing

Great job guys!

What do you think he means by this? I think "Doc" maybe was a "friend" and Bex didn't respect the relationship they had? I don't know, just trying to apply my forensic science knowledge which is limited at this time. Rolling Eyes

It was the end of Doc's last sentence that jumped out at me, "...the privacy of others." Perhaps she's an investigator of some sort and was checking him out. Also, it seems more than coincidence that her parents died in a fire.

And I'll add a good work to the late-night crew.

Thank you to the late night crew for being there to accomplish Doc's task. I stayed up until midnight here on the east coast thinking something was going to go down. Sure enough it did but it was after I went to bed. Surprised

It strikes me that perhaps a relationship ended, and she "told-all" in some way, which was hurtful. It could have been the Doc, or someone else who was important to the Doc.

Initially, Doc said she knows more about him than he knows about her, which makes me wonder about them having a close relationship. If she is all-focused on her work, that doesn't quite fit to me. I'm not ruling out anything though.

Uh, did I miss something somewhere? Where does it say that?

[Doc Post]

Quote:
Like the back of your hand
BEX is a lovely young lady in her twenties. Grown up in Boston, she graduated high school and college in New York and also has lived in California. She's an all-American girl with a very impressive record of virtues.

Three years ago BEX lost her sister Steph (one of two) to Leukemia. It was a long, miserable experience. Poor BEX.

BEX's other sister Jaclyn is an Obstetrician and sees BEX as a girl with her head in the clouds. You could say she's a chip off the old block - their old man was apparently quite the "realist".

Both of BEX's parents passed away in a house fire nearly a decade ago. Faulty wiring, apparently. Some folks thought maybe mommy had had enough realism, though, and torched daddy in his sleep.

BEX's grandmother on mommy's side reared the girls through the last stages of their teenage years. Sadly, Granny has also gone on to greener pastures. A little too much love of the bottle. Poor dear.

But don't feel bad, BEX is resilient and focussed on being a self-made woman. In fact she hasn't managed any successful relationships yet, possibly because she beats the joy of loving her with the blunt edge of a narrow-sighted work-ethic.

I suppose now it's up to you to give her the chance to learn to appreciate life and the privacy of others.

Doc.
