Now What? Maybe we should look for clues in unrelated shows like NCIS. Why? Because they mention "Cloverfield contamination files" and "Cloverfield Project." Could this be the missing file?
...no, but I'm sure they'll do something along the line of a sequel eventually. There are a lot of questions out there and if we can get them to release ROAR! I'm sure demand is high enough to push for a sequel. If they release a new pic on 1-18-08 everything will suddenly be on again and a vague fact here and there can keep things going for a while. Now the question is if they can keep up interest?

I've learned (the hard way) that this ARG/ARE requires patience. Some people here know that I have little of it cause I spent it in this.

I think everyone has to realize the main party is over. It's boiled down to a few rounds of 'kick the empty bottles' and reminiscing for the most part. A few details are being worked out from having access to things like all the content on the DVD, but not much else is really going on. The manga seems to be to trickle a little life in to sustain some interest for die hard fans, and to do what they've done so well...
Confuse the fans and drive them batshit insane.
I don't think people are accepting things for what they truly are. We were given things like a hammer, mitten, and cheese to keep us busy while the PMs knew they had a period of time to wait before releasing the next stage upon us. A few wild dead ends helped both occupy us and subtly cover up some of the more important details - and for us knowing which was which only became clear with time. There's the added bonus for them and us that when older info demonstrated it's full or greater value than we'd given it, we spent time speculating upon it while the PMs had time to develop and deploy the next stage.
The funny result of this distribution of good and bad info is that some are stuck on wanting meaning from everything, while others feel bitter and perceive almost no meaning from any of it. I find it surprising that pegassissy says we only got one thing from 1-18-08.com, because we actually got new leads and corroboration from that very site. It was basically what validated what was canon, by either introducing it or corroborating it. What do I mean?
1. The MySpace pages were found as a result of having names to search from the backs of the pictures.
2. The Slusho t-shirt could be seen, confirming the Slusho site to be a genuine part of the campaign.
3. The recipe card with the reference to kaitei no mitsu led us to the restaurant review that led us to Tagruato.jp - which had a tanker in the film itself.
4. The image from the news videos, which validated what was initially a highly contested set of 'clues'.
I think everyone needs to see these things for their value, and not try so desperately to attach more than is clearly given to us. Let's just let this die down to an honorable rest, to rise if needed for a sequel or other such relevant truly new endeavor. Enjoy some casual discussion of the details, keep your eyes peeled for the next chapter. Don't collapse into a black hole.

Hell yes.

For some, it's too late. For others, they can still be saved from said collapse.

have we discussed all the stuff that is on the back of the pics on 01-18-08? Because I don't recall little notes on the backs of some of the pics. Like Jamie , rob, and huds pic. Check it out if you haven't seen it. I had no clue they updated them

I am utterly embarassed...Yeah this was found via the 1-18-08.com page

This was confirmed...in my mind at least...via Jason's shirt in the teaser, and also the registration date.

This was the one thing I was reffering to.

See...thats what gets me...what clues? We didnt figure anything out at all from most of the pictures. Pictures 1-6? Very helpful and productive and fun, but only two of them were needed; the other 4 were just promo fillers. The Chaui station sinking, burning ship, fishing boat with blood around it, the bombing of mgp, and the eaten whales?...They proved to be of absoleutly no use at all. Period.
Im not saying the teddy pic isnt helpful, or wont soon be. Who knows, this could turn into a full blown ARG. But chances are its not and as Eurche said, we will mostly just be kicking at the dirt. Do I think there will be a sequel?...Yeah,(but i dont want one) but this will not be picked back up. We will not be given information like this for the sequel...its over. And yeah theyll throw us an old, gnarled on, scrawny bone like the cheese, mitt, and hammer every once in a while but thats it. There is no meat, there really never was. There is nothing to attempt to figure out because there is nothing there, nothing at all. If you had fun, find a new ARG, if you are new, get out now, and if you cant leave, well i feel for ya.[/.02$]

I'll still be here until I feel there is nothing else to do, it's one of the things I do with my free time (which usually runs between 4-10 hours, depending on my workload) and I seem to be the only one (other than DiB, and I haven't seen him here for quite a while) here from this mess-of-an-island I call home.

Yeah I get it. It's just I thought I would get something like that from a noob, not someone I've seen here since all that stuff happened.
