Does that look like a cryptic crossword clue to anyone, with the numbers the letters in the answer?

Edit- forgot to refresh so did not read the new stuff

Doh! I'd been checking Alice's blog for updates and just realised the bookmark was for T&I's April updates...

Feeling jealous, don't know if I'll be able to get down to London Sad

Thoughts:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
if the Coprinus' hat is an inky cap mushroom, then how does one get a "faithful representation" of it? Should Alice buy/pick one?

Who wrote the note? It can't be Alice or the trio, because they don't know the brothers' names

Who's the inheriter? Bella?!

EDIT:Ooh just read Wikipedia
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coprinopsis_atramentaria#Distribution_and_habitat

"The black liquid that this mushroom releases after being picked was once used as a substitute for ink"

EDIT 2:Yeah Cabbage, I'm confused!

By doing the Guardian crossword a lot.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's an anagram: "Got garbled" is a typical indicator in cryptic crosswords.

The "nothing missing" means to lose one of the letter "o"s.

Anagram KFROMINHERITOR to fit the letter pattern.

I stick to the kakuru's and quick crosswords! Well done. I should have gotton the "garbled" clue, if I'd thought about it.

Brothers?
Quote:
When the Aztecs adopted the culture of the Toltecs, they made twin gods of Tezcatlipoca and Quetalcoat, opposite and equal; Quetalcoatl was also called White Tezcatlipoca, to contrast him to the black Tezcatlipoca. Together, they created the world; Tezcatlipoca lost his foot in that process.

Isn't Tez the one shown with a mirror instead of a foot?

EDIT: YEP!

We have looked at him before!

Is that the name of the book? Which will be in one of the places we have to find on Monday - things to do on a Bank Holiday!
