www.gofindthekey.com Milwaukee based viral marketing. www.gofindthekey.com
If you're in Milwaukee and have a taste for cheesy viral marketing you may be interested in this.
I came across this through a full page ad in the local edition of The Onion which consists of a gold key and the text "dON't look hEre, to maKE it Yours"
The "ONEKEY" text actually leads nowhere and I found out what it was from yahoo answers .
The meta tags in the source hint that it may be baseball related, but the font and general style of the ad make me think of the Potawatomi casino.
The site has been registered anonymously so that doesn't help.
This doesn't really intrigue me so even though one of locations is about ten minutes on foot from me I doubt I will check it out.
If anybody goes, please post what it was/is about.

That casino is awesome, I worked a job in Milwaukee 2 years ago aboard the M/V Bill G. Nice. Cold but Nice. I believe I still got pictures of the work we did.

the site is hosted on the same IP address as two other domains used by the Potawatomi, so your font instincts are good.
are all of the locations movie theaters? I tried to see what might be playing at those time periods (which could be the length of a movie, maybe an advance screening)

I don't think so. One is at (or near) the Milwaukee Brewers stadium and another is at a pub.

RE Actually, the one thing all the locations have in common is that they are not "real" addresses. There is a 2 Brewers Way, a 1218 E. Brady, a 2504 N. Mayfair, etc. Anyone planning to check it out?

WHOIS search comes back to Ascedia website design. Potowatomi is a client of theirs, so you're probably right.

I was at a brewer game and was given a "church key" bottle opener with the slogan on it...I have a suspicion that it's just a beer gimmick of sorts.
p.s. some weird kid was trying to collect a ton of them.

OK, so I saw the key you were talking about. It says to claim it - and what now? I think it is for a Beer Advertisement. Milwuakee is known for beer. It said to post a commnet to the blog to find out more, so I did; but it didn't automatically post. It has to be approved. I said I want to claim it and what now.
Edit: the title of the page is "The Key To Your Future. Will You Take It? Conspiracy Truths and Information. Help me help you stay sober."
EDITED: I went back to the site to see if my comment has been posted (i used the name Dee to post), and I got a message:
"OneKey, Gofindthekey.com, are you sure you found it?
Dee is one step closer to finding the key. Are you willing to find it? It's here somewhere. Things aren't what they appear. Accept or Decline!"
Now what should I do?
Edited: I clicked on what appeared to be a secret link near the bottom and it turned into a creepy black spider; now I can't look at it any more to search.
I don't know if this site is In Game or what. I got another message:
"Dee. You are one step closer to finding your answer. Your IP address has been recorded and entered into the Big Book. You cannot have the key until you properly find it. It's here. It's everywhere. Accept or Decline."

Gofindthekey Possibility I think if the IP address and other factors are pointing to Potowatomi, plus the fact that they are going to complete their initial expansion in the next few weeks, it is most likely a "treasure" full of money and the right key will open that up. Good promo and it should definitely bring people in the door - you better believe I will have a key!

Yes, I finally saw it posted on another site that it is for the Casino. Heck if there is a pot of money I might try and get a key too.
